Marc Warren is the only remaining Scot at the Paul Lawrie Matchplay event at Murcar, near Aberdeen, after reaching the semi-final stage.

The Glaswegian holed from the fairway for an eagle in a sudden-death play-off to beat England's Tyrrell Hatton.

Richie Ramsay lost his quarter-final to Sweden's Robert Karlsson by one hole.

Warren will face Thailand's Kiradech Aphibarnrat in Sunday's semi and could play Karlsson or David Howell in the final later in the day.

Earlier on Saturday, the Scot had beaten Belgium's Nicolas Colsaerts 3&1, while Howell overcame Warren's compatriot Chris Doak 2&1 and then fellow Englishman Chris Wood 5&4.

Karlsson had beaten fellow Swede Johan Carlsson 4&3 to reach the last eight before taking on Ramsay.

Paul Lawrie himself went out of the tournament at the second-round stage on Friday, losing to Doak.
