South African Louis Oosthuizen has withdrawn from this summer's Olympics in Rio de Janeiro because of family and schedule issues.

The 33-year-old follows Fiji's former world number one Vijay Singh and Australia's 2013 Masters champion Adam Scott in deciding not to compete.

"I didn't make my decision without a great deal of thought," Oosthuizen said.

Golf is included in the Olympics for the first time since 1904.

Three-time major winner Singh said last week that fears over the Zika virus, external would prevent him competing in Brazil, while world number seven Scott pulled out in order to focus on the PGA Tour.
