England's Richard Bland holds a one-stroke lead at the British Masters following Friday's second round.

The 43-year-old world number 127 fired seven birdies to card 64 at The Grove, taking him to 11 under par.

Countryman Andrew Johnston is one stroke behind and tied for second place with Sweden's Alex Noren.

Tommy Fleetwood, who held a share of the overnight lead, is on nine under alongside fellow Englishman Anthony Wall and Scotland's Scott Jamieson.

Bland, who has never won on the European Tour, opened with a 67 on Thursday and is yet to drop a shot at the Hertfordshire course.

England's former world number one Luke Donald and Spain's former Ryder Cup captain Jose Maria Olazabal both missed the cut.
