Guernsey women lose HA Vase semi-final

Guernsey women's hockey team's bid to make a second successive HA Vase final was dashed after they conceded an extra-time winner to lose their semi-final 2-1 to Oxted.
After a goalless first half Oxted took the lead before Guernsey equalised.
But the island side, who made last year's final, were undone by a golden goal winner three minutes from the end of extra time.
"We're bitterly disappointed," captain Emma Atkinson told BBC Guernsey.
"In a way it will probably be good for us in the long run.
"If we'd have won it we'd have probably been made to go onto the standard above where we may have struggled a bit," she added.
