Great Britain's women lost 2-1 to Argentina in a shootout in their first match of the new FIH Pro League season.

Great Britain's men were later beaten 2-1 by hosts Argentina in Santiago del Estero.

Agustin Mazzilli opened the scoring for Argentina in the first quarter and Tomas Domene doubled their lead after 41 minutes.

Britain's Sam Ward scored a fine consolation goal in the closing stages as Argentina took all three points.
