FIH Pro League: GB women beaten 8-0 by Dutch but men win 3-2

Great Britain's women suffered their heaviest FIH Pro League loss as they went down 8-0 to the Netherlands.
Lily Owsley won her 100th cap for GB as they looked to build on an opening shoot-out loss to hosts Argentina but the defending champions dominated.
Yibbi Jansen scored a hat-trick and played a part in several other goals for the Dutch in their first match.
There was better news for GB's men with debutant Struan Walker scoring twice in a 3-2 win over the Netherlands.
The Dutch men are also defending champions but were edged out in their first Pro League match since lifting the trophy in July.
Walker, named player of the match, opened the scoring and after Jorrit Croon levelled, Nick Bandurak restored GB's lead.
Jip Janssen made it 2-2 but Walker rounded off a memorable debut to put GB in front in the 55th minute and secure victory in their second match after an opening defeat by Argentina.
"This result shows the character of the players in our squad. We've got fighters who work really hard from the first minute to the very end," said Walker.
GB's women could not recover after conceding three goals in the first quarter.
The Netherlands went on to seal their biggest Pro League victory since a 10-0 win over the USA in April 2022.
"We played really well as a team and made some nice goals so we're really happy with the win," said three-goal Jansen. "We scored eight goals today, we wanted to make nine, so we always want to improve."
