Frankie Dettori will ride 2013 Epsom Derby winner Ruler Of The World in Sunday's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

The jockey, 43, has been chosen after riding trainer Aidan O'Brien's four-year-old colt to victory in the Prix Foy at Longchamp last month.

Dettori, the Arc's winning jockey three times, lost the ride on 2013 champion Treve last month.

Thierry Jarnet, the filly's original rider, replaced Dettori at the request of trainer Criquette Head-Maarek.

French jockey Jarnet rode Treve to victory at the 2013 Arc following an injury to Dettori, who this year will be riding the race for the 26th time, having won it in 1995, 2001 and 2002.

Ruler Of The World, who also won the 2013 Chester Vase, is owned jointly by Sheikh Joaan Al Thani's Al Shaqab Racing operation and Ireland-based Coolmore.

Meanwhile, the colt's stablemate Tapestry could be supplemented for the race at a cost of 120,000 euros (£95,000), with Ryan Moore taking the ride.
