Cirrus Des Aigles was controversially stripped of victory in the Prix Dollar after a stewards' enquiry.
Despite finishing first past the post, the three-time winner was adjudged to have caused interference and placed fifth.
Second-placed Fractional was awarded the race following the eight-year-old's relegation at Longchamp.
Corine Barande-Barbe's gelding was running for the first time since taking victory in June's Coronation Cup.
