It's going to be another mudbath on the drive home for many of today's racegoers. The car parks are as soft as the Cheltenham going.

Fittingly, Inothewayurthinkin's victory means an Irish winner has brought the curtain down on St Patrick's Thursday.

Not quite the craic the Irish had hoped on the track, but sure it's been a belter of a day for everyone at Cheltenham - despite the rain.

However, spare a thought for those who are driving home...

The winning trainer Gavin Cromwell is another of those on the up. He was Gordon Elliott's farrier at one stage and has been coming over here and winning prizes regularly all season.

That was like Anthony Joshua in Saudi - stop the contest. It was impressive. Derek O'Connor maybe got the sense early that the horse didn't like being crowded.

Once Derek O'Connor decided it was time for Inothewayurthinkin to stride out down the hill, you felt you knew what was coming.

    A perfectly-timed run masterfully marshalled.

And it justified why everyone and their dog seemed to lumping on Inothewayurthinkin in the build-up to the final race of the day.

Whacker Clan still out in front as they go past the stands, with Demnat not too far behind.

These two have done most of the running so far.

Inothewayuthinkin is wayyyy back. Right at the back, it seems.

Another race for the amateur jockeys and after his win on Tuesday on Corbetts Cross, Derek O’Connor will be hoping for another victory on the Gavin Cromwell-trained Inothewayurthinkin.

O’Connor is one of the best amateurs around and has been a regular winner at Cheltenham over the years.

There is a strong Irish challenge to this one with Gordon Elliott pair of Where It All Began and Cool Survivor and Henry de Bromhead’s Whacker Clan all among those with chances.
