Belfast Giants edge out Braehead Clan in Elite League

The Belfast Giants moved to within two points of Nottingham Panthers at the top of the Elite League with a 3-2 win over Braehead Clan in Scotland.

Kevin Saurette gave the Giants the lead in the first period and further goals by Saurette and Colin Shields in the second period put Belfast in control.

Ash Goldie and Robert Farmer reduced Braehead's deficit with goals at the end of the second period.

The Giants face Sheffield Steelers at the Odyssey on Saturday.
