  2. Don't expect a big win - Farrellpublished at 14:57 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2015

A last few words from England's Andy Farrell, about Saturday's Six Nations opponents Italy.

"They will try to put us under pressure like they have done on two of the last three occasions," Farrell says. "We'd love to put 30/50 points on everyone. It's not the reality of international football. You have to deal with the moments as they arise.

"The game simple. If we start thinking about points difference it's ridiculous, we'll trip ourselves up and we'll end up either losing the game or not getting the points we want."

  3. Karanka keeps emotions in checkpublished at 14:51 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2015

Middlesbrough head coach Aitor Karanka says he will not allow himself to get excited until his promotion goal is achieved.

  5. Robshaw top captain - Farrellpublished at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2015

More from Andy Farrell's interview with the BBC, and he has lavished praise on captain Chris Robshaw.

"Chris is a great leader who leads by example," says the England backs coach. "But to be able to do that he's got to have support behind him and he's very comfortable that he's got the correct support."

  7. Leyton Orient subject of Italian reality showpublished at 14:32 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2015

    Leyton Orient

They are not giants of European football, so it might come as a surprise to some that Leyton Orient are the subject of a reality TV show in Italy, with a playing contract up for grabs.

Orient's owner, Francesco Becchetti, said the programme will help the club find new players and boost its profile, but with the team experiencing its worst season for a decade, some fans are unconvinced.

BBC London sports reporter Chris Slegg spoke to Mr Becchetti, Tom Davies from the Leyton Orient Fans' Trust and Orient fan Jim Nichols.

West Ham confirms the striker will have surgery on his injured knee on Tuesday following assessment by a specialist on Friday afternoon.

"The England international injured his left knee during the second half of Wednesday night's 0-0 Barclays Premier League draw at Southampton," a West Ham statement says. "The recovery phase is expected to keep Carroll out for the remainder of the 2014/15 season."

A reminder that the Manchester United news conference takes place at around 15:00 GMT, and we will have all the quotes here in Sportsday.

If Louis van Gaal doesn't drag in a flip chart or make a power point presentation on his team's tactics, I'll be disappointed.

England are aiming to follow up their win over Wales with another victory against Italy.

Asked if the coaching staff have had to keep the players feet on the ground since the Cardiff win, Farrell said: "Not really. These guys are top class international players and they know what a Test week is all about."

And besides, says Farrell, there are improvements to be made. "The start wasn't great against Wales but it is pleasing that we came through that and handled it very well... which shows how far we've come as a team maturity wise, how we dealt with that poor start and got back on script."

  13. Murtagh backs 'stand-out' Morganpublished at 13:56 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2015

Middlesex and Ireland seam bowler Tim Murtagh has backed county team-mate Eoin Morgan to make a big impact when he captains England at the Cricket World Cup.

"He's a player for the big occasion. I'd always back him to score runs in a World Cup game than a warm-up game when there's no-one watching. He's their stand-out player," the 33-year-old says.

Murtagh has been forced to miss the tournament in Australia and New Zealand after undergoing surgery on his foot.

"It's massively disappointing. It's something I've waited my whole career for, it's probably my one chance at a World Cup," he adds.

Millen on the threat Liverpool pose: "They play a different formation now but the last two times that they've come here they've had tough games.

"This is going to be a tough game, they've got a threat going forward but it's the beauty of the cup tomorrow."

This match has history in FA Cup terms, the teams famously meeting in 1990 when Palace pulled off a major shock by beating Liverpool 4-3 ... a certain A Pardew with the winner in extra time.

"We want to have another day like that tomorrow," added Millen. "I remember the game cheering Palace on, and I'll be doing the same again."

  15. Crystal Palace news conferencepublished at 13:47 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2015

"The confidence has come back since Alan (Pardew) has come in. This is the strongest squad I've known here," says Millen.

The assistant boss then talks about who is available, and who isn't, for the visit of Liverpool.

James McArthur (thigh) and Shola Ameobi (fitness) are 'struggling', but Pape Souare's work permit has been sorted.

Millen also says that Wayne Hennessey is in contention for a starting spot.

And back at Palace, the man himself has arrived - Keith Millen striding in like he's a veteran of these media gatherings ... as indeed he is, given how many times he's been in temporary charge of the Eagles.

He begins with an injury update, not about any players but the boss

"Alan Pardew has lost his voice," says Millen. "He took training today and hopefully he'll be alright for tomorrow's game."

It's Valentine's Day tomorrow, and one man all loved up is Ipswich Town striker Daryl Murphy.

The 31-year-old Republic of Ireland international has 19 goal this season, and admits former Brazil striker Ronaldo was a huge idol of his.

"I used to love the fat Ronaldo. I absolutely loved him - his skill, pace, finishing," said Murphy.

"I used to try and copy him in the street. But as you grow up you see other types of strikers - like Ruud van Nistelrooy who was an absolute poacher. Thierry Henry is another. But the main one I watched was the fat Ronaldo."
