    Here's an unusual story from lower down the football pyramid where Torquay United goalkeeper Jordan Seabright has quit football to become a car salesman in his home town of Poole.

    The 20-year-old has played six Conference games this term since joining from Dagenham in the summer, his latest on 17 January at Altrincham.

    "It's a really brave decision," Torquay boss Chris Hargreaves told BBC Sport.

    "It's a decision that I don't think is necessarily the wrong decision, but the bigger factor is it disappoints me that he's lost that dream."

    The move was confirmed in a statement to the Stock Exchange earlier.

    An extraordinary general meeting is being held at Ibrox on Friday, when the future of the current board is to be decided.

    It is unclear if chief executive Derek Llambias and finance director Barry Leach will also go before Friday.

    In a statement, the club said expenditure was reduced by £22m, mainly driven by lower player costs and "this trend will continue in future years as the club will continue to bring losses down."

    The club's shareholders have reiterated their long term support by writing off £60m of shareholder loans.

    The theft of a Commonwealth Games gold medal belonging to athlete Kelly Sotherton is set to feature on BBC's Crimewatch.

    The former heptathlete and 400m runner and her family were asleep upstairs when the burglary took place in Sutton Coldfield overnight on 17 February.

    The burglars also took nine AAA British medals, about six Island Games medals and other items including a computer.

    Sotherton said the burglary of the medal she won in 2006 in Melbourne was "really unnerving".
