    They say you should never go back. If former Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt has heard this he has clearly opted to ignore the advice as he has announced this morning that he is leaving Turkish club Fenerbahce and returning to Feyenoord in his native Netherlands, nine years after leaving to move to Merseyside.

    The 34-year-old says the decision to leave Turkey had been taken before the gun attack on the team bus last weekend that left the driver injured.

    Kuyt, who was not on the bus at the time of the attack, revealed his intentions in a statement on Facebook addressed to "dear Fenerbahce fans"., external Of the attack on the team bus, he said: "In football as in life, the most important thing is the health and safety of people. This is not just for Fenerbahce but for all football fans in Turkey. Turkey should come together to find a solution,"

    Paris St-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been suspended for four Ligue 1 matches for a foul-mouthed outburst that was captured live on TV.

    The Sweden international lost his temper, criticised match officials then swore when describing France after his side's 3-2 loss at Bordeaux last month.

    Ibrahimovic, 33, later apologised, saying his remarks "were not aimed at France or the French people".

    Stoke boss Mark Hughes is adamant he does not want to lose his goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, who has done a sterling job for the Potters in recent seasons. At his press conference ahead of this weekend's game with West Ham he had this to say...

    "We've made it clear that we want him to sign. We will sit & discuss in the summer. That's always been the plan."

    Hughes went on to suggest City may well be prepared to open the chequebook this summer...

    A man has been arrested at China's Shanghai International Circuit, which hosts this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix, after he ran across the track during the second practice session.

    The local man, in possession of a grandstand ticket, initially scaled 10-foot high fencing that runs along the main straight opposite the pits.

    With cars on track, the man then darted over the starting grid with a Force India approaching in the background before jumping up the pit wall into the pit lane and entering the Ferrari garage.

    It was there he was finally grabbed by security staff and handed on to police for arrest - but not before apparently stating he wanted to try a car.

    QPR host Chelsea on Sunday but after the controversy during the fixture in October 2011 after which John Terry was accused of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand, Chris Ramsey is playing down the prospect of unrest in Sunday's game.

    "Fans are fans and it would be odd to think there wouldn't be extra feelings towards that situation," said Ramsey, who also revealed that Rio Ferdinand, Anton's brother, would miss Sunday's game through injury.

    "Ultimately John Terry is a player of Chelsea and I am the manager of QPR and as a man and a person I would shake John's hand after the game, as long as there wasn't anything unprofessional on the field during it."

    QPR manager Chris Ramsey is facing the media ahead of Sunday's West London derby against Premier League leaders Chelsea.

    "All derbies are big and what both teams have at stake puts extra spice to it. Players live for these sort of games," he said.

    "Our home performances have been good and if we perform like that, our fans would be happy.

    "Chelsea can afford to have a blip and still win the league - we need to pick up every point we can. We are expecting a tough game but they players will be up for it."

    West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is seated and giving his views on this weekend's home game with Stoke at his pre-match press conference. He says Enner Valencia, who missed much of March after cutting his toe on a broken cup, is back in contention.

    "He gives us other options to play different systems," said Big Sam. "To have selection choices up front is important for any team."

    After a superb first half of the season, West Ham have struggled of late, winning just one of their last nine league games. Allardyce added: "The wins have eluded us recently and hence we're disappointed with where we are in the league but not with the performances. Our all important factors are that our creative capability has been endless all season, but what we haven't done is convert as many chances as we were before."

    Harry Redknapp has told BBC Sport that he resigned suddenly as manager of QPR in February because he "no longer knew who was on my side" at Loftus Road.

    Redknapp cited crippling knee problems as the primary reasons for his decision to leave Rangers, who were second from bottom in the Premier League table but the 68-year-old told Football Focus that the club had descended into a "soap opera".

    "I always thought I had everyone pulling with me and suddenly I felt some were and some weren't. Behind the scenes, I always thought there were one or two people with their own agendas," he said.

    Europe's football governing body Uefa ruled that the final seconds of England's match with Norway should be replayed after a refereeing mistake in Saturday's first game.

    In Augusta, world number one Rory McIlroy is seven shots behind leader Jordan Spieth after the opening round of the 79th Masters.

    American Spieth, who finished joint runner up to Bubba Watson at last year's Masters, produced the performance of the day, carding nine birdies to open a three-shot lead with an eight-under 64.

    Snooker's top female player Reanne Evans has failed in her bid to become the first woman to reach the World Championship.

    Evans lost 10-8 to former world champion Ken Doherty in the first of three qualifying rounds.

    The 29-year-old, who has won the past 10 women's world titles, received an invitation to compete in the qualifiers.

    We move away from cricket and second practice has finished at the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai and Lewis Hamilton is the fastest overall after the day's two sessions.

    His best time, set on the soft tyre, was one minute 37.219 seconds - around four tenths faster than the Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen.

    Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo is third, a second down on Hamilton, with the second Ferrari of Sebastian Vettel in fourth. Nico Rosberg is 1.2secs down on team-mate Hamilton, although he did not seem to get a clean lap on the softer - and quicker - Pirelli tyre.

    Flags across Australia are flying at half-mast, including over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, following the news of the death of Richie Benaud.

    The gates were thrown open at the Sydney Cricket Ground, one of the venues Benaud graced, and mourners laid flowers around his giant bronze statue.

    Tributes were also paid by Prime Minister Tony Abbott, who has offered a state funeral to Benaud's family.

    "A sad day for Australia," Abbott tweeted. "We have lost a cricketing champion and Australian icon. What an innings. RIP Richie Benaud,"
