  1. 'England can make record Test chase'published at 10:20 British Summer Time 2 June 2015

Is he feeling OK? Batsman Joe Root says England can do "something special" by chasing 455 to beat New Zealand in the second Test at Headingley.

A draw would be enough to secure a 1-0 series win for England, who reached 44-0 before rain ended play shortly after lunch on day four.

"We've got a long batting order and we've got every opportunity," said 24-year-old Root.

If England reach their target, it would be the highest successful fourth-innings chase in Test history, beating the 418-7 that West Indies made against Australia in Antigua in 2003.

More Fifa, lovely. Two Congolese Football Association (Fecofoot) officials have been provisionally banned by Fifa for breaches of its code of ethics.

Vice-President Jean Guy Blaise Mayolas and general secretary Badji Mombo Wantete are not allowed to carry "out any football-related activities at national and international level."

The statement issued by Fifa simply said "the decision decision was taken.. based on the fact that various breaches of the FIFA Code of Ethics appear to have been committed by said officials."

Football's world governing body did not give any further details in its brief statement.

England prop Joe Marler says he hopes to be fit to feature in England's World Cup warm-up games in August.

The Harlequins captain has not played since injuring a shoulder in April.

The 24-year-old - England's first-choice loose-head in the Six Nations - had surgery in May.

"It's been four weeks post-op now so it's full-on with the rehab and trying to get back fit," he told BBC Sport, adding that playing in the warm-up matches "is the plan".

Robert Rea: Cesar Azpilicueta. Most reliable member of Chelsea's back four, but the only one not to make the PFA Team of the Year.

Stephen Evanson: Vernon Anita. Puts a shift in every match. Think he deserves more time on the pitch.

Michael Blyth: Alex Tettey for Norwich City. Our very own Norwegian/Ghanaian Matic.

  5. Sydney v Chelsea (11:00 BST)published at 10:06 British Summer Time 2 June 2015

Chelsea have picked a strong team to play Sydney at the ANZ Stadium.

Team: Cech; Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Terry (c), Ake; Mikel, Matic; Remy, Loftus-Cheek, Hazard, Costa.

So apart from Thibaut Courtois, Cesc Fabregas and Gary Cahill you could say that was Chelsea's strongest possible side.

"Mat has enjoyed one of the most consistent seasons of his career this year," said boss Richard Cockerill.

We are talking about underrated players today in Sportsday.

Here are some of your suggestions.

Mykell Beal: Lee Cattermole. Defensive midfielders don't get enough praise in general, but this man is so underrated, possibly because of all the cards he gets.

Dem Henn-Berry: Willian 100%, doesn't get as many goals/assists as others, but he always tracks back and helps out in other areas.

    Christian EriksenImage source, Getty Images

Brendan Todgers: Christian Eriksen. He is one of the best players in his role in Europe. Doesn't get the recognition as not in the Champions League.

This is one of the more unusual tributes to Rio Ferdinand, who retired from football on Saturday.

His former teammate Quinton Fortune has compared the former England captain to a man at a BBQ.

"At times he was playing like he was at a BBQ- the chops the man was handing out was unbelievable," Fortune posted on Instagram, external.

He added: "One of the best players I've had the honour to play with. Let me break it down for you guys how good Rio aka R5 was. Take a Maybach RollsRoyce with a Ferrari all these cars together was Rio with nightvision. The man made defending look sexy."

This is sweet. Juventus's Giorgio Chiellini says he will shake hands with Luis Suarez when they meet for the first time since the Uruguayan bit him at the World Cup.

Barcelona forward Suarez was banned for four months for biting Chiellini on the shoulder during Uruguay's group match against Italy last June.

The pair are set to line up against each other in the Champions League final on Saturday in Berlin.

"I'll hug him happily, too, there's no problem at all," said Chiellini.

Banned England hooker Dylan Hartley is "gutted" to be missing the World Cup but denies reports he is ready to quit international rugby.

The 29-year-old Northampton captain was removed from the World Cup squad after being given a four-week ban for headbutting Saracens' Jamie George.

"There is no truth in the speculation I may quit international rugby."

Today we are asking, 'Who is your club's most underrated player and why?'

Jayson MacMillan: Michael Carrick because he doesn't get the recognition he deserves at MUFC and in England.

Michael Corleone: Nacho Monreal for Arsenal. Brings so much stability to the left side.

Andrew Neill: I feel that Newcastle's most underrated player is Massadio Haidara. Quality left-back that just needs more game time in the Premier League.
