    Sheffield United are expected to unveil Nigel Adkins as their new manager at a press conference in London at 17:00 BST.

    The Blades sacked Nigel Clough nine days ago.

    Adkins, out of work for just under six months after being sacked by Reading in December 2014, will become the Blades' eighth manager since they were relegated from the top flight in 2007.

    Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov is a free agent after his one-and-a-half year stay at French Ligue 1 club Monaco ended.

    The 34-year-old Bulgarian joined from Fulham in January 2014 and scored in Monaco's Champions League win over Arsenal this season.

    Berbatov was linked with a number of Premier League clubs in January.

    Top-flight new boys Bournemouth have been reported to be interested this summer.

    Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has dismissed suggestions he would not be fit enough to play in Saturday's Champions League final against Juventus.

    He said: "I had a few twinges but it's nothing. I am not considering not being there on Saturday.

    "For me it has been a privilege to share all these years with Xavi. He is the number one playmaker."

    Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets: "I think that Lionel Messi could score the goal against Athletic Bilbao against any team."

    What a cracker it was, as the 27-year-old Argentina forward started on the right and surrounded by Athletic players in the lead up, he managed to squeeze through a gap, sprint into the box, shift the ball past one more defender before striking a shot low past goalkeeper Iago Herrerin.

    Busquets added: "Juventus are a team who play in a different way to the teams we have met so far."

    Talking of Ronald Koeman, the Southampton boss "knows all the tricks" for Europa League success, says former player Jimmy Case.

    Koeman, 52, won the European Cup with PSV Eindhoven in 1988 and Barcelona in 1992 and has managed in the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.

    Arsenal's FA Cup win on Saturday confirmed Saints' place in Europe and Case backs Koeman to impress.

    "With European competition Koeman's been there, he knows all the tricks and he's managed abroad," Case said.

    Wales' newest boxing world champion Lee Selby plans to make his first IBF featherweight title defence in Cardiff.

    Selby, 28, beat Evgeny Gradovich with a dominant display at London's O2 Arena on Saturday.

    The Barry fighter will make two title defences in 2015, with the first coming in late August or early September.

    "I've proved I'm a worthy champion. I will leave my management team to pick my opponents but I will fight anyone," Selby told BBC Radio Wales Sport.
