"But that takes nothing away from a very different England attitude, one that was tested when the home side found themselves 0-1 after only one ball of the match."

  7. McClaren for Newcastle?published at 17:34 British Summer Time 10 June 2015

We are expecting to hear that Steve McClaren is to become the next Newcastle manager. Here are some more of your thoughts.

Shingy Wan: Steve McClaren. Worked with good managers in good sides, knows how to win. Not the glamour signing but could be good for both. No manager is going to enter NUFC without assurances they are going to go somewhere next season. McClaren has ambition.

Snafu: Still not sure where S.McLaren gets his reputation from. What's he done to suggest great things to come at Newcastle United?

The 29-year-old struggled for regular football during spells at Ipswich and Preston over the past two seasons.

"I'm as hungry as ever to get back to those heights," Ebanks-Blake told BBC Radio Sheffield. "This is the right move at the right time to get back to that level."

  12. McClaren to Newcastle?published at 17:06 British Summer Time 10 June 2015

So there is speculation that Steve McClaren is set to become Newcastle United's manager in the next hour. Here are some of your thoughts on the former England boss.

Barry King: McClaren's not the right man for Newcastle United. He's a Yorkshire Pardew for me but great for the Ashley regime. He's another yes man.

Ross Arnett: I want McClaren to prove me wrong and bring excitement back to SJP. But I'm not holding out much hope. His appointment doesn't scare me in comparison to Pards in 2010. But it is not the exciting appointment the fans wanted.

Michael Laverton: Steve McClaren can do well for Newcastle but Mike Ashley needs to put his hands in his pockets to support him.
