    Super League side Wigan Warriors plan to play one of their home games in London as they attempt to expand their presence in the city.

    The Warriors plan to open an office in London and play one home game per season at a neutral venue.

    "My personal passion for Wigan and rugby league in London makes this initiative an obvious one," said Wigan owner Ian Lenagan.

    Lancashire move 31 points clear at the top of the County Championship Division Two table after completing a 91-run win over Gloucestershire at Bristol.

    Paceman Kyle Jarvis, the competition's leading wicket-taker, took 5-39 as the home side collapsed from 113-2 to 160 all out, having been set a target of 252.

    Australian James Faulkner provided the main support with 3-18, while Chris Dent top scored with 54 for Gloucestershire.

    The inaugural European Games starts on Friday in Azerbaijan but events in Baku will be overshadowed by the news that Holland has withdrawn its interest in staging the event in 2019 despite having already been unveiled as the next hosts.

    The Dutch had claimed to be the only bidders when they were granted the event last month but European Olympic Committee president Pat Hickey insisted five other cities have since expressed an interest in staging the event.

    "I have no doubt that we will be able to present a strong host for the 2019 European Games," he said.
