    Everton will find out today the extent of the injury to left-back Leighton Baines after the England defender suffered a recurrence of an ankle problem.

    The club are due to get scan results back on the injury that will reveal how long Baines will be ruled out for. He injured the same ankle at the end of last season and this could mean another lengthy spell on the sidelines.

    Manager Roberto Martinez also ruled out any sale for John Stones who has been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United. Martinez is determined to keep the 21-year-old at Goodison Park.

    "I have said before the player is not for sale and that is the end of it," he said.

    West Ham manager Slaven Bilic says striker Diafra Sakho, who The Sun reported, external was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault, "looks happy and trained normally".

    Bilic also admitted that there was a dispute with midfielder Morgan Amalfitano, but "the situation was not as bad as was written in the papers". However, he is not part of the first-team squad for the match against Leicester City on Saturday.
