One of the longest running transfer stories of the summer is finally at a conclusion.

For a while it looked likeReal Madriddefender Sergio Ramoswas going to move to Manchester United.

But for those whose Spanish is not up to scratch, the La Liga club have confirmed Ramos has agreed to sign a new five-year contract at the Bernabeu.

We told you earlier about reports that Manchester City are closing in on a £28m deal to sign Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi, with Eliaquim Mangala potentially moving in the opposite direction.
