The Sun is reporting that John Stones will put in a transfer request in an attempt to force through a move to Premier League champions Chelsea.
Offers of £20m and £26m have already been rejected by Everton, with as much as £30m also said to have been rebuffed.
Meanwhile, the Daily Star claims Stones is part of a potential £100m double deal for the Blues, who are also keen to sign Juventus and France midfielder Paul Pogba, 22.
