    The Sun is reporting that John Stones will put in a transfer request in an attempt to force through a move to Premier League champions Chelsea.

    Offers of £20m and £26m have already been rejected by Everton, with as much as £30m also said to have been rebuffed.

    Meanwhile, the Daily Star claims Stones is part of a potential £100m double deal for the Blues, who are also keen to sign Juventus and France midfielder Paul Pogba, 22.

    Southampton could only manage a 1-1 draw against Danish side FC Midtjylland in their Europa League play-off last night. Jay Rodriguez scored his first goal since March 2014 to cancel out former Saints player Tim Sparv's low strike in the first-half.

    QPR striker Charlie Austin has accused West Ham chairman David Sullivan of making "an outrageous slur" on his professionalism. Sullivan, speaking on a West Ham fans' podcast,, external said the Hammers considered Austin too great a risk as a signing because of knee problems.

    Andy Murray saved a match point as he came back from the brink to beat Grigor Dimitrov and reach the last eight at the Cincinnati Masters. Murray, 28, will face Frenchman Richard Gasquet next.
