...12 years ago, in 2003, England Test batsman and wicketkeeper Alec Stewart retired from first-class cricket.
Stewart is the most capped cricketer of all-time in test matches. He played 133 Tests, not to mention a further 170 one-day internationals.
He made his Test debut against the West Indies in February 1990 and went on to score more than 8,000 runs at an average of 39.54.
