    Tony Pulis did accept, though, that some supporters let West Brom down at Villa Park last year.

    "You have to realise and recognise that within 45,000 people there's always going to be a certain element of idiots who've gone there hell-bent to cause trouble, and that's what I was really disappointed about.

    "Instead of going there to enjoy the occasion and the game, and two teams going head to head, they took it a little bit further, and it spoiled the game."

    Tony Pulis also reflected on the trouble at Villa Park last year when Villa fans stormed the pitch and West Brom's supporters reportedly ripped out seats and hurled them onto the pitch.

    "That's what disappointed me most last year. They beat us, you have to stick your chest out and take it the way you should take it.  And I think most of our supporters did, most of our supporters behaved exceptionally well."

    Mamadou Sakhois very much in the reckoning to return to the Liverpool defence for Sunday's game.

    "He was left out of the French squad recently but didn't sulk and has worked hard. He was brilliant last night," said manager Brendan Rodgers of the draw with Bordeaux in France.

    Midfielder Joe Allen is fit to return to the squad.

    This will be Alan Pardew's view as he previews Palace's trip to Tottenham. 

    I've seen more than one pundit tip Palace to win at White Hart Lane, considering how both sides have started the season. 

    Pardew's first league game in charge of Palace back in January was a home win against Spurs, so I am planning to ask him what his memories are of that, and whether they will give him extra confidence going into this match.
