Sam Atkinson: Not fully a home nation team but I’ve always supported Ireland as my fall-back team after the 1994 World Cup where we didn’t qualify and they did. I also will be backing the Ireland rugby team. I'm part Manx so have Celtic blood in me!

David Armstrong: Absolutley no chance. If it takes another 10, 15, 20 years to wait for Scotland to qualify then I'll just have to be teamless at tournaments for that long. Having said that I think it's OK to be won over by certain teams during a competition and want them to do well - at the last World Cup for me it was Costa Rica because of how they played - but you still don't support them like you would have done for your own country.

Elliot Ronald Harris: I think you can support another squad to keep yourself intrigued and connected not always for glory. But we all have more than one team we don't support we enjoy watching

And Dalglish adds: "He seems like someone who is not in love with himself." Ooof! Brendan Rodgers felt that one from his Spanish sun lounger.

    Quote Message

That is really unfair as there are guys in there hurting. For me to talk about myself is wrong. They're the priority at the moment, those guys in there and my coaching staff. I have people in this building hurting at the moment and I need to look after them.
