    The Liverpool Echo, external report The FA will speak to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to clear up the concerns he raised about the treatment of young Reds midfielder Jordan Rossiter while away with U19s duty in recent qualifiers.

    We are asking for your examples of sports people going from zero to hero, after Manchester United's Anthony Martial gave away a penalty before earning the Reds a point against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.

    Ihtisham Hussain: Pakistan cricket team starting awful in the 92 world cup losing to India, West Indies bowled out for 74 v England. Then going on to win the world cup beating Australia and New Zealand before beating England in the final lead by Imran Khan.

    Bradley Handelaar: Nemanja Matic, surplus to requirements at Chelsea & sold to Benfica in 2011, comes back 4 years later and wins the title.

    Chris: Federico mechaeda when his late winning goals kept United in the title race and effectively won it for them in 08/09 season.

    Liverpool Ladies have promoted assistant boss Scott Rogers to the manager's job.

    The 29-year-old was assistant to Matt Beard, who has joined Boston Breakers, for the last three years. Under the duo they won the 2013 and 2014 Women's Super League One titles, although they finished second from bottom this year.

    Rogers said: “We have had a tremendous run and although we were unfortunate with injuries last season we have a young, hungry squad and I am confident we will be competitive again next season.”

    Reds chief executive Ian Ayre said: “We are delighted to now appoint Scott as the new manager and I’m looking forward to next season to carry on with the great progress that’s been made to date.”

    Wales will play the Netherlands in a friendly on 13 November at the Cardiff City Stadium. 

    "We produced an excellent display when we last met the Netherlands," Wales manager Chris Coleman said.

    "We look forward to welcoming the Dutch to Cardiff for what I'm sure will prove to be a valuable and entertaining match as we begin preparations for Euro 2016 in France."

    At least one of these teams are playing in Euro 2016... Sorry any Netherlands fans out there..

    Tomorrow marks 100 years since his death and you can watch BBC's Inside Out West campaign for a statue to be erected in Bristol to celebrate his life.

    Over the course of 43 years, William Gilbert scored 54,896 first-class runs, 126 centuries and took 2,876 wickets.

    More news on the world record broken by Kadeena Cox in the IPC World Championships in Doha.

    GB sprinter Cox broke the world record in the T37 100m heats. 

    She set a time of 13.59 seconds, beating the previous best of 13.68 and will go in the final later at 14:48 BST along with fellow Britons Georgie Hermitage and Jenny McLoughlin.

    Former Netherlands great Johan Cruyff has been diagnosed with lung cancer, according to reports in Spain.

    Radio station RAC1 and Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo , externalhave said the 68-year-old was diagnosed on Tuesday and is currently undergoing tests to discover the extent of his illness.

    Cruyff helped his country reach the World Cup final in 1974.

    He also won three consecutive European Cups with Ajax and went on to play and manage at Barcelona.
