West Brom v Arsenal (15:00 GMT)

We will bring you what Tony Pulis has to say when we have it...

  148. A new and very big Tatt

    Football

We will keep revisiting the Eddie Jones story throughout the day but for now, some big breaking news - Jerome Boateng has a new tattoo.

The Bayern Munich and Germany defender won the World Cup at the Maracana in 2014 and he now has a life long reminder of it. It's in a bit of a tough place to see though - the back of his leg.

  149. The new man...

    Rugby Union

    Eddie Jones

If you are just joining us, we started Sportsday a little early today to get things moving around the breaking news that Eddie Jones has been named England head coach.

Did you know Jones gave up a job as a school teacher to begin his coaching career at Aussie side Randwick in 1994?

Success saw him reach the job as national manager in 2001 but a run of eight losses in nine games led to the glum face on the right in this image as he was sacked in 2005.

Happier times arrived recently when he masterminded one of the biggest shocks in sporting history as his Japan side beat South Africa at the World Cup.

  155. Wenger's concern

    Football

    Daily Star

Arsene Wenger takes the lead on this morning's Daily Star. The Arsenal manager is concerned over the mental state of Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud in the aftermath of the Parris atacks.

"Sometimes it hits you more two or three days later than on the night," Wenger says on Koscielny.

"What I will want from him is that he's completely committed and feels ready. If not, I will not play him."

Arsenal travel to West Brom on Saturday.

  156. 'I know nothing'

    Football

We also have a tonne of football content planned today, including 10 Premier League news conferences.

    Jurgen Klopp

The Daily Mirror leads with a story on Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who said Manchester City's training ground must be in "a deep forest".

Klopp says he is in the dark over City's plans for Saturday's meeting between the sides.

"We don't know about Silva, we don't know about Aguero, we don't know about Bony, and so on," said the German, referencing City's injury doubts.

Right, it's over to you guys.

A brief look at the home nations in British football will show us that all four are managed by one of their own. We want to know if this is right? Should the English rugby union team have appointed Eddie Jones - an Australian - or stayed with an English coach?

  158. Eddie the school teacher

    Rugby Union

Retired Australia international Phil Waugh tells BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast that Eddie Jones has the ability to bond with and motivate players.

“He wants to win and he'll do anything to win and I think that resonates with players because players are very much in that same mentality," says Waugh.

"As a guy Eddie Jones is a good guy. He'll enjoy a beer in social settings with the team but when it comes down to performance he knows how to drive it."

    Jones

Another former Australia player - David Campese - has had lots to say on Jones' appointment. He's questioned England's decision to opt for an overseas coach.

  159. Jones to mix it up

    Rugby Union

    Eddie Jones on the Guardian

After being humbled in their own back yard during the World Cup, few would argue England do need the 'shake up' the Guardian leads on.

"I hope to build a new team that will reflect the talent that exists within the English game. I believe the future is bright for England," Jones said.

Jones has coached Australia - famously to defeat against England in the 2003 World Cup final - and Japan - during the recent World Cup - at international level.

The 55-year-old has signed a four-year deal and of course, his appointment as the country's first foreign coach will spark some debate. We want to hear from you on the subject. We are on #bbcsportsday.

  161. Good morning sport fans

    Welcome

    Eddie Jones

    "Ready, Eddie, Go!"

The back page of the Daily Mail sums it up pretty well. England have just confirmed a new head coach and we have a monster day of sporting coverage ahead.

As many as 10 Premier League news conferences, ATP World Tour Final tennis, the final ODI as England take on Pakistan, golf's Race to Dubai draws nearer its finish and even some build-up to tomorrow's El Clasico.

Say it with me... "Ready, Eddie, Go."
