    Leicester v Chelsea (Mon, 20:00 GMT)published at 16:42

    Football

Right then, it's not too long until tonight's big Premier League game ...Chelsea's visit to high-flying Leicester.

A win for the Foxes will put them back at the top of the Premier League. A defeat for Chelsea ... well, it would be normal wouldn't it? (Sorry Chelsea fans, below the belt).

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri, who will face his former club said: "Chelsea for me means a lot because I worked there for four years. I'm very proud to have been their manager. But that's an old story and now my focus is on Leicester."

"Their record does not mean anything as Chelsea are Chelsea and Mourinho is Mourinho. I'm sure at the end of the season they will be in the top four."

Jurgen Klopp and Tony Pulis are unlikely to be exchanging Christmas cards this year.

Klopp did not shake hands with the Baggies boss at the end of Liverpool's 2-2 draw with West Brom and was involved in a confrontation with a member of the visiting team's backroom staff as he went onto the pitch to celebrate with his players.

"I didn't see (Pulis) after the game. I can say nothing," Klopp said. "We had some words in the game; sometimes it takes more than a few seconds to cool down.

"Usually I shake hands, I did not today because it was not a friendly game."

Merry Christmas and peace and love to one and all.

Sussex's Pakistan-born batsman Ashar Zaidi says Somerset bowler Craig Overton should apologise for allegedly swearing at him during a match.

Overton, who allegedly also told 34-year-old Zaidi to "get back to your own country", received a two-game ban.

Zaidi did not hear the alleged comments which were reported by non-striker Michael Vardy and umpire Alex Wharf.

Overton has denied the claims but Zaidi said: "For the sake of the game he should apologise to me."

Banning fans 'not the answer'published at 15:58

    Dynamo Kiev v Man City

Manchester City fans have expressed their frustration after learning they will not be able to attend the away leg of the Champions League last-16 tie against Dynamo Kiev.

The match on February 24 will be the second of two the Ukrainian club have been ordered to play behind closed doors by European governing body UEFA for the misbehaviour of supporters.

A spokesman for City fans organisation 1894 Group said: "Banning innocent fans is not the answer. In the 70s and 80s in England we didn't shut whole stadiums down. We targeted the minority and removed them.

"By closing down a whole stadium the trouble-causers feel they have achieved something. It actually gives them publicity."

Bolton manager Neil Lennon has warned that players could choose to leave the club if they are not paid this month.

Wanderers, who are £172.9m in debt, did not pay players in November and they are entitled to give two weeks' notice if it happens again.

"I remember being in Glasgow when it happened to Rangers and players used their right to leave Rangers and go and play in England," said former Celtic boss Lennon.

Eddie Jones was appointed England coach on 20 November, agreeing a four-year deal to replace Stuart Lancaster.

His first match will be England's Six Nations opener against Scotland at Murrayfield on 6 February as he looks to resurrect England's fortunes after their failed World Cup campaign.

Jones - England's first ever overseas coach - had been widely expected to make changes to his coaching team, and the axing of Rowntree, Catt and Farrell has not come as huge shock.

"Sorry about the slip, boss, it was the algae..."published at 15:04

    Football

What's the worst excuse you've heard for your team's defeat? The infamous grey kit? A curse on the team?

How about too much algae? That, apparently, is why Plymouth lost at home to Cambridge United at the weekend, according to boss Derek Adams.

A late slip by defender Peter Hartley gifted Cambridge all three points, when players were struggling to stay on their feet all match.

"It has an algae on the pitch, it has to be treated and hopefully that will be sorted in the week," said Adams. "That is the reason (for Hartley's slip)."

    Euro 2016

Former Wales striker Iwan Roberts has tipped Wales to beat England when the two sides meet in Group B in Lens on 16 June.

"We are a good side. We are capable of beating any nation on our day," he told BBC Radio 5 Live.

"England haven't got a Gareth Bale. We know that.

"I would fancy us to beat them and I'm not just saying that because I'm Welsh."
