Claudio Ranieri on Aston Villa: "I believe only in the next match. I know the next match may be tougher than Tottenham. Aston Villa are a good team. They won their last match so now I want to see our mentality. They press very well and have very good players. The manager knows the team better now so maybe he’ll find the right solution. They’re confident now so it’s difficult."

Claudio Ranieri has been speaking to the media ahead of the game against Aston Villa. This time last year, the Foxes were exactly were Villa are today.
"Tottenham in the first 15/20 minutes were amazing but our strength was to keep going and to maintain our shape. Before the match I said to Robert Huth when are you going to score a goal? Come on man!"
Man Utd move for Slimani?
Football gossip

Manchester United are interested in signing in-form Algerian striker Islam Slimani from Sporting Lisbon, according to the Sun.
Slimani, 27, has scored 18 goals in all competitions this season and would cost around £12m. He has international pedigree too, having scored 20 goals in 41 caps.
Could he be the man to turn around United's goal-shy attack?

David Rhys Cross: Leicester to win Premier League, much to chagrin of pundits who are obsessed with the elite clubs.
Matt Under.Wrld: Why can't Leicester win league? Why is it Arsenals to lose? LCFC haven't fallen away yet, last night's game was big.
Yamson: Seeing all the comments writing Leicester off, we've had the doubters since October. Bring on City and Arsenal.

Dan Evans gets it done. The Briton wins the final set against Israel's Amir Weintraub 6-2 to advance. If he beats Bjorn Fratangelo on Saturday he will be one of six Brits in the main draw.
James Ward will not be among them, though, after losing to Dennis Novak.

Davies on the up?

Welshman Rhys Davies has carded an early 66 in the Joburg Open as he looked to revive his career on the European Tour.
The 30-year-old missed the cut in his first two European Tour events of the season but six birdies and one bogey on the West Course at Royal Johannesburg and Kensington left the former Walker Cup star - who beat American stars Dustin Johnson and Rickie Fowler in the singles in 2007 - just one shot off the clubhouse lead held by South African Mark Williams.
Tom Holmes: City still have the best team and the most experience. Leicester will fall away and Arsenal don't have the bottle to win it.
Chrispen Ngwenya: It's Arsenal's to lose this time around
Julie Fenwick: I hope Leicester win. They have a strong team ethos and a good manager. It would show that success can't always be bought.
Some sound reasons here. Any thoughts?

Day One, Third Test

England have endured a frustrating morning against South Africa as the two sides break for lunch on day one of the Third test in Johannesburg.
The Proteas have amassed 73-1, losing only Stiaan van Zyl for 21 when he skied a catch to wicketkeeper Jonny Bairstow off Ben Stokes.
Dean Elgar and Hashim Amla remain unbeaten as England will hope to improve on a wayward bowling display so far to put the pressure back on the hosts before tea.
French daily L'Equipe are reporting that Newcastle and Marseille are in talks over a loan deal for that would see Florian Thauvin return to the Ligue 1 club. The 22-year-old winger moved to England in August in a reported £12m deal.
