    Fifa presidential candidate Gianni Infantino says he would press for the World Cup to be held in a whole region rather than one or two countries.

    The Uefa general secretary has included the plan in his manifesto for the Fifa election on 26 February.

    His idea follows European football's governing body Uefa's decision to play Euro 2020 in 13 different countries.

    "Each confederation shall have to wait at least two editions before being able to host the World Cup again," he said.

    Watford have signed Sunderland goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon on a three-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

    The Romania international, 28, joined the Black Cats in 2014 and has made 18 appearances this season.

    Pantilimon has not played since a 3-1 defeat at Chelsea on 19 December and has fallen behind Jordan Pickford and Vito Mannone in the pecking order.

    He spent three years at Manchester City before joining Sunderland.

    Ivory Coast striker Wilfried Bony has told BBC World Football that there is no truth in the rumours he wants to leave Manchester City.

    The 27-year-old questioned manager Manuel Pellegrini's decision to drop him in December , external , and has since been linked with a return to Swansea.

    "I'm happy at the club, all this speculation is not true," he said. "I have a contract so I'm happy and I think I'm at one of the top clubs in the United Kingdom."

    United Kingdom? Excellent.

    His old team are 11th in the table and he bagged a hat-trick against Chelsea earlier this season, but it was not enough to a regular place in the starting line-up.

    Steven Naismith has joined Norwich from Everton for £8.5m, signing a three-and-a-half year deal.

    The 29-year-old forward, capped 41 times by Scotland, becomes the Canaries' fifth signing of the January transfer window.

    He scored 25 goals in 123 appearances for the Toffees after signing on afree transfer from Rangers in 2012.

    West Brom manager Tony Pulis said striker Saido Berahino's absence from the FA Cup third-round replay against Bristol City was down to a stomach bug.

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored an 89th-minute winning penalty as defending champions Paris St-Germain came from behind to beat Toulouse and reach the last 16 of the French Cup.

    The Sweden striker scored a late winner in Saturday's 1-0 league win at Toulouse and struck again in Paris.

    Toulouse took the lead through Francois Moubandje before David Luiz levelled.

    PSG, unbeaten in domestic football all season, lead Ligue 1 by 21 points and are going for a consecutive quadruple.

    Leigh Griffiths kept the match ball after he claimed a hat-trick in Celtic's 8-1 thrashing of Hamilton.

    Ronny Deila's side scored five times in the opening half, Mikael Lustig, Nir Bitton and Tom Rogic putting them 3-0 ahead after just 10 minutes.

    The FA Cup always throws up something special and it almost happened again last night as non-league Eastleigh gave Championship side Bolton a run for their money - what they have left of it, anyway.

    But a 3-2 scoreline meant the last team outside of the Premier League and Football League were knocked out of the competition.

    Tonight, the last two replays take place to complete the fourth-round line-up.
