"Sunderland are very organised," said Bilic. "They are showing not only the quality but the character. They got four points from Liverpool and Manchester United.
"They have a quality not only on breaks, but also in different ways. There is still a long way to go for them but they have a big chance to stay in the league."

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has praised predecessor Sam Allardyce.
"Sam did great for West Ham," he said. "He has managed for 20 years very successfully, and he took West Ham at a moment when we were in the Championship.
"He got us up straight away and stabilised us in the Premier League, so he did a great job here."

Good news for West Ham supporters as manager Slaven Bilic confirms the return of some key players.
Midfielder Manuel Lanzini returned against Blackburn in the FA Cup, while forward Diafra Sakho is back in training but needs more time.
Striker Andy Carroll and defender Winston Reid are back too, but the game against Sunderland may be too early for them to feature.

"I don't see the commitment from all the players every day in training sessions," said Aston Villa manager Remi Garde. "If I had the choice of other players I would like to select I would like to, but I don't have the possibility. I have to find the right training session and words to make them committed every day."
Garde admitted that if the January transfer window had gone his way, he would have had greater competition among the players in a small squad.
And he confirmed he'll still be at Villa until the end of the season.

Aston Villa manager Remi Garde admits that he still has to work on his players in training to get 100% commitment.
"We don't have room for manoeuvre with so few players," he said. "Sometimes it's about fighting and commitment. It's the first thing professional players should have on the pitch,how can you be confident if you're not fighting?"
Having failed a trial for his university team, Tom Meechan has since signed professional terms with Newport County.
