    Many Clouds is about 8-1 favourite ahead of 10-1 chance The Last Samuri and 12-1 shot Silviniaco Conti.

    Coverage of the race, over 30 fences and nearly four-and-a-half miles, is expected to be followed by 600 million people worldwide.

    Organisers have put back the time of the race by an hour to 17:15 BST in an effort to further increase the audience.

    Last year’s winner Many Cloudsheads the field for Saturday’s Grand National after the final line-up of 40 runners was confirmed.

    The 2014 winner Pineau De Re was among those to miss the cut for the famous Aintree race. Lower-rated horses are balloted out, with The Romford Pele occupying the number 40 slot.

    There were no withdrawals at the final declaration stage on Thursday.

    Gunners boss Arsene Wenger also says the club is in discussions to extend Alex Iwobi's contract. The 19-year-old midfielder has scored twice on his first two Premier League starts and has three years left on his current deal at the end of the season. 

    "He is a real Arsenal person because he has been here since the age of eight," Wenger said. "We want to keep him here longer. He has had a good impact."

    Arsene Wenger has backed Jack Wilshere after the Arsenal midfielder was pictured on a night out following his return from a long-term injury. 

    Wenger, via Press Association reporter Matt McGeehan, external, said: "There was no training session the next day. I had a day off. You can accept players go out. I've spoken to him. It looks to be taken out of proportion a little bit. These are matters we like to keep internal."

    The manager also said that Wilshere will continue his comeback in the under-21s on Friday.

    On Jack Wilshere, Wenger adds: "Let's not rush him. He will play for the under-21s on Friday but I'm cautious."

    Everton have slipped to 12th after losing four of their last five Premier League matches and manager Roberto Martinez concedes that their impending FA Cup semi-final with either Manchester United or West Ham has distracted his side.

    “We need to forget about the semi-final,” he said. “When you reach a real high then it’s difficult to reach the same level. We are going to be obsessed with the games we have ahead. 

    "We know the quality we have. Clearly the disappointment is there because the standards are so high. We feel we can perform against anyone.”

    An odd thing to say after three consecutive defeats, no?

    While we're waiting for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, midfielder Francis Coquelin has hailed the signing of Mohamed Elneny, believing the pair are forming a formidable midfield partnership after the Egyptian international's January move to the Gunners. 

    "It's going well, he's a great addition to the squad," Coquelin said. "He's settled really quickly, because don't forget he's only been here for two months. We are getting stronger each game, and if it can carry on this way it will be a good partnership."
