Tottenham defender Danny Rose in apologetic mood after last night's ill-tempered derby draw at Chelsea.

"It is not nice to see for kids here or kids watching on TV. I apologise if it looked bad on TV," said Rose, one of nine Spurs players booked.

"It is a London derby. It is to be expected. We wanted to win and they wanted to stop us having any more say in the title race."

Tottenham received nine bookings at Chelsea, on Tuesday - a Premier League record.

A total of six bookings or sendings off triggers an automatic £25k fine, unless it has happened before, so the game will prove even more expensive than just the official end of Spurs' title chances.

A charge of failing to control players is also likely. Tottenham have already been charged with this once this season and Chelsea three times, so heavy punishments could follow.

The FA also says it will have to go through the footage and await various reports before a ruling can be made on the Mousa Dembele ‘eye gouge’ on Diego Costa.

The Robert Huth-Marouane Fellaini incident in Sunday's Manchester United-Leicester game is also under review.

The FA has until Wednesday evening to rule on the incidents in both games.

More from veteran Leicester reserve goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer, who hails the influence of manager Claudio Ranieri.

"He's been incredibly calm throughout the course of the whole season," Schwarzer says. "He's changed very little from when you look at the make-up of the team. He's made little tweaks, he's definitely changed the way we trained a little bit.

"He's added his own technical nous to our side and he's really continued to play to our strengths and if anything he's enhanced players, encouraged players and probably given players more confidence."
