"I would like to thank everyone who has supported me including my husband, family and friends and members of the football community."

Jamie Vardy’s representatives have told Arsenal he wants to focus on the European Championships.

Arsenal have triggered a release clause in Vardy’s Leicester contract and are believed to have offered him £120,000-a-week, while Leicester are thought to have made a counter offer.

Arsenal were expecting Vardy to give them an answer on Monday but this did not happen.

England manager Roy Hodgson has already made it clear he would not welcome club matters imposing on England’s campaign, which starts against Russia in Marseille on Saturday.

Vardy’s camp have not told Arsenal he will delay his decision until after he Euros and therefore Arsenal have not completely given up hope of him saying yes immediately but there is clearly a good chance now of the deal not happening until after the Euros.

Arsenal are not pulling out of the deal and their offer stands.
