Germany international Gotze, 24, is surplus to requirements at Bayern and returns to the Westfalenstadion after three years away.

West Ham have made an official request to reverse the dates of their Europa League third qualifying round to allow extra time to prepare the Olympic Stadium for it's first competitive match.

The London Anniversary Games is being held at the venue on 22 and 23 July - with the first leg of the European tie on July 28.

Should the request be approved, either Shakhtyor Soligorsk of Belarus or NK Domzale of Slovenia would visit London for the second leg on Thursday, 4 August.

France Football, external are reporting that Leicester City could make a late bid for Belgium midfielder and Everton target Axel Witsel.

Everton have been linked with a move for the 27-year-old - currently at Zenit St Petersburg - all summer, but the French report claim Leicester want him as a replacement for N'Golo Kante, who is mulling over signing a new contract with the club.

Chelsea will look to complete the deal for Leicester midfielder N'Golo Kante at the weekend.

The Blues have made a £29m bid for the 25-year-old, who will tell Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri he wants to leave the club.

And that's your lot. Some daunting ties in there for the British sides, not least Hearts and Cliftonville potentially going to Russia, and Hibs possibly playing Hertha Berlin.

Should Aberdeen, as expected, ease through after their 3-0 first-leg win over Ventspils, they would play either Maribor of Slovenia or Levski Sofia of Bulgaria. They drew 0-0 in the first leg.

If Hearts can get past Birkirkara of Malta after a goalless first leg, they will face Krasnodar of Russia.

Hibs have a tough task making the next stage, given they lost 1-0 to Danish side Brondby at home in their first leg. But, if they can turn the tie round, they will face another daunting tie against Hertha Berlin of Germany.

Connah's Quay of Wales suffered a 1-0 defeat in Serbia against Vojvodina on Thursday, and their incentive for turning the tie around is a meeting with either St Patrick's Athletic of Ireland or Dinamo Minsk. They drew 1-1 in the first leg in Belarus.

Northern Ireland's Cliftonville threw away a two-goal lead in Belfast to lose 3-2 to AEK Larnaca of Cyprus. However, should they manage to win through in the second leg, they will face Spartak Moscow.

Dimitri Payet is "100%" staying at West Ham.

The France playmaker, 29, was considered hot property this summer, after a productive first season in the Premier League, followed by an impressive Euro 2016 campaign.

But Payet told The Sun:, external "I’ve heard about all the interest and I’m flattered. But I love West Ham. We had a fantastic season and I can’t wait to play in the Olympic Stadium.

“I’m 100% staying at West Ham, I love the club. I can tell the Hammers fans that.”

Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller felt "useless" in his position as the central attacker in Germany's 2-0 defeat to France during Euro 2016.

Muller, 26, was tipped to be one of the stars at the tournament but he failed to score a goal in six games.

"I roved about too much," Muller told Sueddeutsche., external "[I should have accepted] I was deployed as a central attacker and might be without a touch for 20 minutes. I didn't do that."
