One part of the Manchester United travelling contingent did not have a particularly great start to their tour.

Former captain Bryan Robson and treble winners Denis Irwin and Dwight Yorke set off a day earlier than manager Jose Mourinho and his first team squad.

Unfortunately, they had to get off their plane in Manchester for two hours for a security check, then got delayed even longer one they disembarked.

It meant they failed to make an intended connection in Dubai, so they had to wait seven hours for another one.

Finally, they arrived at their hotel after a 26-hour journey, only Yorke didn't have his luggage, which had been misplaced somewhere en-route.
