Speaking of the Lines family, Peter, aka Dad, says his own shock run at the UK Championship is just a "bonus" and he would much rather see his son Oliver progress deeper into the tournament.

Amateur Peter, 46, earned a stunning win over reigning champion Neil Robertson on his way to the third round, while Oliver, 21, joined his father in the last 32 by beating world number three Judd Trump.

It is the first time a father-and-son pair have reached that stage of a ranking event since Geoff and Neal Foulds in 1986.

"We are on a high. If he's doing well, that's what I want," Peter told BBC Sport.

"I will try as hard as I can and if I come out on top all well and good. If I don't, I will still be here on Tuesday with Oliver."

    I can only apologise...

But now it's in your head, you may as well try and get it out again by watching this clip about Peter and Oliver Lines, the father and son causing upsets at the UK Championship, where they have knocked out two of the world's top 10 players.

Lloyd Evans: I've heard of somebody headbutting our wall in the pub when missing a shot in pool, then saw them throw a strop in their pub.

Adam Graham: Played in a game of 5-a-side indoors, got sent off (inexplicably) and was so furious with the decision that I kicked the wall and mashed my toe and ended up having to have hot needles put through my toenail to drain the blood after all the swelling. Not my finest hour.

Michael Lister: Michael Cheika (Australia rugby union coach). Every time the Wallabies lose. And often when they win too.

Portsmouth will conduct an internal investigation after "a dressing room incident" during Saturday's 2-1 League Two home defeat by Stevenage.

Manager Paul Cook confirmed after the game that captain Michael Doyle and defender Christian Burgess were involved in an altercation.

Cook decided it was serious enough to immediately substitute both players.

The club's investigation will decide if any further disciplinary action will take place against the players.

"At the end of the game, I was made aware by the manager of an incident which occurred at half-time," chief executive Mark Catlin said.

Alex Shcnopple: I'd wear my lucky pants, change the opposition's changing room heating/water temperature to cold, so they'll be stiff.

Phelan targets a striker in Januarypublished at 10:57 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2016

Hull City v Newcastle United (Tuesday, 19:45 GMT)

Hull City have scored the fewest amount of goals in the Premier League and boss Mike Phelan admits they need to sign players in the January transfer window.

At a news conference before tomorrow's EFL Cup quarter-final against Newcastle, Phelan says: "We need more goalscoring players and in January it is a difficult time to get players in and can be very costly.

"But we have a couple of options and hopefully we can get them in. We have a squad that are working hard."

Lewis Hamilton's actions during the last Formula 1 race of the season have got people talking, as he repeatedly slowed down when leading in a hope that the Red Bull and Ferrari drivers would overtake Hamilton's Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg.

Hamilton needed Rosberg to finish fourth or lower in order to win the world title, but the German's second-place was enough to give him his maiden championship.

Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker is firmly behind Hamilton.

Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique says the performance in Sunday's 1-1 draw at Real Sociedad was their "worst game" during his time in charge.

Barca were lucky, with La Real having a goal wrongly ruled out for offside, as well as hitting the woodwork twice.

"This is the first time I've seen a team walk all over us since I became coach," said Enrique, boss since 2014.

"If we look at the result, it is the best of the season. The opponents were far superior."
