Grimsby Town fans have raised more than £1,000 to pay for a Mariachi band to attend their final away game of the season after Barnet banned inflatables.

The Bees said on Monday "inflatables will not be allowed into the ground"for Saturday's League Two game.

Two years ago Grimsby fans threw dozens of beach balls and blow up footballs onto the pitch at Barnet when both teams were in the Conference.

Mariners fans raised the money for the band on a crowdfunding website.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho says United will be without the world’s most expensive player Paul Pogba for the game at Manchester City, after he hobbled off against Burnley, but Antonio Valencia is set to return.

Mourinho wants Zlatan Ibrahimovic to be happy and says his next step should be something he really wants, whether it is staying or leaving the club this summer. Mourinho says he was pleased to see the striker vow to fight on, but says his surgery and recovery is more important right now than whether he signs for another year at Old Trafford.

Mourinho also says finishing above Pep Guardiola and Manchester City means nothing to him if they finish fifth and sixth, as their objective is to play Champions League football.

This season was supposed to be a showdown between Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho for the Premier League title, but it has obviously not worked out that way.

They meet again at Etihad Stadium on Thursday, when Guardiola's Manchester City side will go for a repeat of their win over Mourinho's Manchester United in September.

That win put City top of the table, but it is a long time since either Manchester club was in that position.

Here's the latest Manchester City team news from Pep Guardiola:

"David Silva is a real doubt. Gabriel Jesus is ready but his physical condition is not optimal. Sergio Aguero is much better - he will be ready.

"Aguero and Jesus can play together, it depends on the way we want to play. If you play without wingers, more narrow, they can play.

[On Raheem Sterling] "In the last game I decide to put one less attacking player. It’s not a lack of confidence or anything like that."

I need help on gambling addiction - Bartonpublished at 14:19 British Summer Time 26 April 2017

Joey Barton banned from football for 18 months

Some more from Burnley midfielder Joey Barton on his 18-month ban from football after admitting an FA charge for placing 1,260 bets on matches.

"A ban of 18 months is longer than bans handed to players who played in matches where they bet for their team to lose and – unlike me – had an ability to influence the games," said Barton.

"The only players to be banned for 12 months or longer bet against their own teams and played in the matches in which they placed those bets. Players who did not play in the matches they placed the bets in have never been banned for longer than six months. I feel the ban is excessive in this context.

"I've made mistakes and owned up and tried to learn from them. I intend to do that here. This is one more mess I got into because of my behaviour. This episode has brought home to me that as I had to get help to deal with alcohol abuse, and with anger, now I need to get help for my issues with gambling, and I will do so."

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho won't need reminding Pep Guardiola has the better of their head to head record ahead of tomorrow's Manchester derby with City at the Etihad.

The Reds boss has triumped only four times in their 18 previous meetings, but knows after 23 games unbeaten in the Premier League his side have some momentum heading into Thursday's clash.

While City now only have the top four to play for United are still fighting on two fronts, so Mourinho is hoping Paul Pogba will be available having hobbled off at the end of their win at Burnley, while he is also calling on Chris Smalling and Phil Jones to return from injury as soon as possible to help his patched up defence.

28-goal top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic won't return this season and is in American to undergo knee surgery, will Mourinho have any further information today on the Swedish striker's future beyond this season?

Moving on from Sunday's FA Cup semi-final defeat against Arsenal, it's all about the Premier League now for Pep Guardiola, who has played down his personal rivalry with Jose Mourinho.

"It’s over, it’s past. We played to win, we were better, we didn’t win, congratulations to Arsenal," said the Manchester City boss.

"They are good. Good rival, good quality and a long run in the Premier League without defeat.

"Ibra is an excellent player but they have Lingard and Rashford, they are good players as well.

"Mourinho and I are neighbours. When we see each other we say ‘hi’."

I bet on my own team to lose - Bartonpublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 26 April 2017

Joey Barton banned from football for 18 months

Burnley midfielder Joey Barton has given more information on what he calls an "addiction to gambling".

He has been banned for 18 months after admitting an FA charge for placing 1,260 bets on matches during a 10-year spell, including bets on his side to lose in games he was not participating in.

"Since 2004 I have placed over 15,000 bets across a whole range of sports," said Barton. "Just over 1,200 were placed on football. The average bet was just over £150, many were for only a few pounds.

"Betting is less about how much money I win or lose, and more about whether I can predict the outcome of the game I’m watching. Between 2004 and 2011 I placed a handful of bets on my own team to lose matches.

"On (these) occasions, I was not involved in the matchday squad for any of the games. I did not play. I was not even on the bench. I had no more ability to influence the outcome than had I been betting on darts, snooker, or a cricket match in the West Indies. One thing I can state with absolute certainty – I have never placed a bet against my own team when in a position to influence the game."
