I'm not sure what we can say about that. Hassan has just thrown the rule book for 1500m championship running out of the window.
She dared the field to go with her.
Women's 1500m final
Unsurprisingly, that was a championship record from Hassan.

It's an unprecedented double for Sifan Hassan. Laura Muir could not get a medal with 3 minutes 55 seconds. You are kidding me.

Women's 1500m final
That was REMARKABLE. 3:51.95.
That's the 1500m-10,000m double for the Dutch athlete.
Women's 1500m final
Kipyegon has overtaken Muir and the Briton is slowly drifting back. This is going to be tight.
Women's 1500m final
Muir is second behind Hassan. Hassan is pulling away and Kipyegon is closing down Muir.
Women's 1500m final
Here comes Laura Muir. She's made her move and is third behind Hassan and Kipyegon.
She's overtaken the Kenyan as the bell sounds.
One lap to go.

You can see what the tactic is. Let's make this hard and difficult for everyone else.
Nobody expected this. This is a test of strength.
Women's 1500m final
Hassan has really kicked on here and this is FAST.
Women's 1500m final
It's sub-four minute pace at the front. Here comes Muir. She's having to work hard to move up the field.
She's moving on the outside, shifting up the pack gradually.
Women's 1500m final
Laura Muir and Sifan Hassan both drop to the back in these early stages.
It's Canada's Gabriela Debues-Stafford setting the early pace before Hassan moves right to the front at the end of the first lap.
Women's 1500m final
Off they go.

It would be best for Laura if Gudaf Tsegay takes it out hard and the pace is honest and quick. A fast race actually suits her.
Laura relies on the confidence of her training to get there and hurt everyone else.
She won't try and second guess what anyone else does. If she risks it all to try and win, sometimes it pays off and sometimes it doesn't.
Women's 1500m final
American former champion and two-time silver medallist Jenny Simpson won the semi-final in which Muir raced and will once more be a contender, while defending champion Faith Kipyegon, 800m fourth-place finisher Winnie Nanyondo of Uganda and Ethiopia’s Gudaf Tsegay could all threaten.
The favourite, however, is this year’s fastest 1500m runner and new mile record holder Sifan Hassan, who is going for an unprecedented 1500-10,000m double.
