    A tight start as this heat finally gets under way. But it's Luminosa Bogliolo who gets perhaps a step ahead in the opening 50m.

    The Italian manages to pull away with Jamaica's Yanique Thompson in the second half of the race, they finish in first and second.

    Belgium's Anne Zagre and Australia's Brianna Beahan also through.

    So first up on the track today is the women's 100m hurdles heats.

    British champion Cindy Ofili is the sole representative wearing the Union Jack in this event, she goes in heat one.

    This events looks set to be a showdown between the world record holder Kendra Harrison (heat four) and 2019’s undisputed world number one, Jamaica’s Danielle Williams (heat three).
