    Women's long jump final

it's not to be for Abigail Irozuru - she tries to make her last jump a big 'un but she oversteps and it'll go down as a foul.

She'll finish in seventh place overall. Good signs for the future.

    Men's 10,000m final

Yomif Kejelcha went too early with that injection of pace. He was no match for Cheptegei in the end.

The Ugandan looked barely out of breath!

Around the bend, Cheptegei leaves Kejelcha for dust. That gold medal is his!

Silver medallist in 2017, champion in 2019. A 55-second final lap!

Yomif Kejelcha wins silver and Rhonex Kipruto takes the bronze.

The bell sounds and Kejelcha makes his move.

The medals are going to be between these three. But who will get which colour?

Two laps to go and Cheptegei is leading.

Kipruto in second and Yomif Kejelcha third at the moment.

  9. Irozuru seventh; Mihambo leadingpublished at 18:29 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Women's long jump final

A slight improvement from Abigail Irozuru, clocking 6.50m on her fifth jump, but it's not enough to move her up from seventh place.

Ukraine's Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk has just jumped 6.92m to catapult herself into the silver medal position, but no-one is going to catch this effort from Mihambo. Astonishing.

(Mihambo's fifth attempt, incidentally, was 7.09m. And she looked annoyed that it wasn't further.)

    Men's 10,000m final

Kipruto and Cheptegei open up some distance to third place but they are quickly reeled back in.

They still look so fresh. HOW?!

Through 9km in 24:20.79. One to go.

    Men's 10,000m final

Through 8km, Cheptegei takes over at the front but the Kenyans are back, world junior champion Kipruto determined to push him hard.

Mo Ahmed, bronze medallist in the 5,000m, falls back. He's struggling to keep up with this injection in pace.

Kipruto leads through 8km in 21:40.16.

    Men's 10,000m final

The lead is yo-yo-ing between the two Kenyans and Canada's Mohammed Ahmed has surged forward to tuck in behind them.

Cheptegei falls down the pack a touch but he realises he needs to push on, and does so, moving back into third as Kwemoi drops back.

    Men's 10,000m final

Through 6km, Joshua Cheptegei is back at the front, with Kwemoi and Kipruto dropping just behind but they're not behind for long.

They allow Cheptegei to lead for a couple of laps before moving ahead once again.

    Men's 10,000m final

Nineteen-year-old Kipruto remains on Cheptegui's shoulder, driving him on, and as the 4km mark is passed, he's out at the front again.

He and compatriot Kwemoi are now setting the pace side-by-side as they look to open a gap.

    Men's 10,000m final

Kipruto is not happy with the pace though and takes over at the front, and he's really put the burners on to burst ahead.

Ethiopia's Hagos Gebrhiwet, who moved up through the pack, has reeled him back in though and allows Cheptegui to take over.
