Karsten Warholm is three times the world champion. When it first happened in 2017, it was a bit of a shock. This one was very much expected.
Men's 400m hurdles final
It's a third world championship gold medal for Norway's Karsten Warholm, who wins it in 46.88m.
Rai Benjamin of the United States had been matching Warholm stride for stride, but the Norwegian pulled clear, with Benjamin then losing out on the silver, with Kyron McMaster of the British Virgin Islands taking that and dropping the American down to bronze.

Once you're world champion, you don't want to lose it.
If you get the opportunity to just walk out of here with a gold medal and retain my championship, I'd take it.

Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill
London 2012 Olympic heptathlon champion on BBC TV
I am a big softie. If I was in that moment, I probably would have wanted the gold for myself! It is so beautiful. It really displays what our sport is about. Two epic performances and they've both come away with that gold medal.
Men's 400m hurdles final
Watch Norway's Karsten Warholm cruise into the 400m hurdles final, running 47.09 seconds in his semi-final at the World Athletics Championships.
Men's 400m hurdles final (20:50 BST)
Featuring the three men responsible for the nine fastest times in history: Karsten Warholm (lane 7) – who escaped a possible disqualification in the semi-finals for his foot going to the side of the hurdle rather than over it, reigning champion Alison dos Santos (lane 9) and perennial silver medallist Rai Benjamin (lane 6). Roshawn Clarke of Jamaica (lane 5) set a world under-20 record of 47.34 in his semi-final when second to Warholm.
Women's pole vault final
After a brief chat, it is decided that both Nina Kennedy and Katie Moon will become world champions in 2023.
Both competitors had one failure before both clearing 4.9m at the third attempts.
Just as it was in the men's high jump in the Olympics between Italy's Gianmarco Tamberi and Mutaz Essa Barshim of Qatar, it is a shared gold medal.
Wilma Murto of Finland took bronze, Britain's Molly Caudery set a new personal best of 4.75m to come fifth.
Women's pole vault final
Moon fails at 4.95m. Both have failed three times.
We had a shared medal at the men's high jump. Both Nina Kennedy and Katie Moon chat with an official present. Both competitors have identical records, both can't be separated.
Are we going to have a shared gold medal?
Women's pole vault final
Australia's Nina Kennedy and America's Katie Moon still just can't be separated in a thrilling finish to the women's pole vault final.
Moon has one last chance to grab the gold at 4.95m. Kennedy has failed three times.
Britain's Josh Kerr wins men's 1500m gold medal
BBC Sport
Speaking to BBC TV, Britain's Josh Kerr has just given his reaction to becoming a world champion: "It's been a long time coming. It's quite an overwhelming experience. I'm so proud of myself.
"I'm so proud of my team and my family who got me here. I didn't feel like I ran the best race either. I just threw my whole 16 years of this sport in that last 200m and didn't give up until the end."
Women's 400m final
Lieke Klaver of the Netherlands went out well, but faded badly in the second half, dropping to sixth.
Marileidy Paulino, ranked number one in the world, lives up to the billing as she pulls clear down the home straight to get the gold in 48.76 seconds.
Second is Poland's Natalia Kaczmarek in 49.57, followed by Sada Williams of Barbados in 49.6

Lieke Klaver leads at the halfway point.
Women's 400m final (20:35 BST)
Will Olympic and world silver medallist Marileidy Paulino of the Dominican Republic (lane 7) upgrade to gold? US-based Dubliner Rhasidat Adeleke (lane 4) looked tired in her semi-final after a long season but still qualified fourth quickest and is vying to become Ireland’s first track World medallist in 28 years.
Those two and Poland’s Natalia Kaczmarek (lane 6) have the three fastest PBs in the field.
Britain's Josh Kerr wins men's 1500m gold medal
Great scenes on the BBC Sport sofas in the stadium in Budapest as our pundits Michael Johnson, Dame Denise Lewis and last year's world champion Jake Wightman cheered home Josh Kerr when he was trying to hold off the challenge from Jakob Ingebrigtsen.
Brilliant.

Jake Wightman
2022 1500m world champion, speaking on BBC One
Our little club in Edinburgh has had two back-to-back world champions. That's hard to believe. Jakob Ingebrigtsen is going to start hating us Brits ain't he?
I think Josh Kerr knew what to do there. You saw when he came on Jakob's shoulder. He showed so much promise for so long, that medal in Tokyo was just the start of this. When Josh Kerr gets it right and when he's running well, he absolutely flies. I think Ingebrigtsen underestimated how well he was running at the moment.
I'm so happy for him. Josh is like the Terminator. His internal confidence is crazy.
Men's 1500m final
Britain's Neil Gourley came ninth in the men's 1500m final as compatriot Josh Kerr took the gold.

Josh Kerr has a gold medal around his neck. It will later be engraved before being handed back to him.
There's no removing the huge smile from Kerr's face though.

Jakob Ingebrigtsen must be thinking: 'I'm never going on holiday to Great Britain and Northern Ireland any more'.
