  5. 'Eubank not big enough to beat me'published at 22:48 British Summer Time 14 October 2017

George Groves wins by fourth round knockout

Chris Eubank Jr gets into the ring, to give the occasion a bit more spice.

Groves is asked what he thinks of his next opponent. He says: "Eubank has been one of my sparing partners, he knows what I am about. It was not too tough tonight, I'm still fresh. Eubank has never boxed anyone like me, he has the momentum but has not fought someone like me."

Eubank is asked what he thinks of Groves' performance. "It was a good fight, he did what he had to do, not too many cuts and bruises so we are on for January," said Eubank.

"It was a nice body shot. Respect to Jamie Cox, Groves had that more experience. Now we have the super fight for the fans. Sparing is history, what matters is what he does in January. I think I'm the number one seed in my mind."

"Eubank is just not big enough to beat me," concludes Groves.

George Groves wins by fourth round knockout

And now let's hear from the winner, George Groves, who tells ITV Box Office: "I want to say thank you to everyone who came here tonight. I was boxing another Briton so I was expecting the crowd to be split.

"I picked him (in the draw) because I believe he was the most dangerous of the unseeded fighters. I knew he was tough, I trained alongside him 12 years ago, I knew what he was about and I didn't want an easy fight. Roll on to the next dude, whoever that is.

"I was landing big body shots the whole night, I knew his power of recovery was good. It was a crippling shot, I knew he would not get up. Don't give me a chance to make a shot to the body, you won't get up."

It is a better round from Cox so far, after he may well have seen the third slip away from him.

Success for Groves, who lands with a straight right and another left hook.
