We have an-all British list of officials, with Steve Gray the referee and Howard Foster, Terry O'Connor and Dave Parris the scoring judges at ringside.

Foster was the referee for Groves' first fight against Carl Froch, which ended with a controversial stoppage of Groves in the ninth round as he lost his first attempt to win a world title.

  4. The hand-picked opponentpublished at 22:05 British Summer Time 14 October 2017

    Not long now.

Just a reminder, George Groves had his pick of his opponents in this tournament and decided to face Jamie Cox.

Groves clearly thinks Cox is the weakest fighter in the tournament, how much will that fire up the underdog?

  5. Eubank Jr expects Groves to win inside the distancepublished at 21:59 British Summer Time 14 October 2017

Chris Eubank Jr, who fights the winner, has been talking to ITV Box Office. He says: "I'm happy with the performance (against Avni Yildirim last week) and we're in a great position now where we can watch these fighters and the winner has to fight me in the semi-finals.

"This tournament is about preserving energy. I knew I had to get this guy out as quick as possible as I'm having a fight three months later. If these guys have a tough night that is better for me.

"The fans have been asking for me to fight George Groves for years so hopefully we can give them what they want in January. Jamie Cox is still a dangerous man, but I think Groves will be able to handle what Cox has. I expect Groves to win. A late stoppage for Groves."

  6. 'Not in Groves' league'published at 21:57 British Summer Time 14 October 2017

Former IBF world middleweight champion Darren Barker is another who expects Groves to triumph.

Not many are expecting Cox to do the business.

Some stats for you on both fighters, courtesy of the World Boxing Super Series Twitter account.

The stats that stands out for me is that George Groves has boxed 182 rounds, 75 more than his opponent.

Will that extra experience prove crucial?

Who is likely to win the World Boxing Super Series, and why?

  13. What is the World Boxing Super Series?published at 21:42 British Summer Time 14 October 2017

The World Boxing Super Series has been described as the "Champions League of boxing" with two tournaments, one for cruiserweights and one for super-middleweights.

Each category offers a $25m (£19m) prize fund and a trophy named after late boxing great Muhammad Ali, with the winner of each expected to receive $10m (£7.6m) in total over the three victories needed to land the title.

World championship belts are also on the line during the individual fights in the new event.

This is the third quarter-final of the super-middleweight tournament, with Britons Callum Smith and Eubank Jr already qualified for the semi-finals.

Smith will face the winner of the fourth quarter-final between Germany's Juergen Braehmer and American Rob Brant, who fight in Germany on 27 October.

  14. The story so far: Jamie Coxpublished at 21:37 British Summer Time 14 October 2017

Jamie Cox won light-welterweight gold at the 2006 Commonwealth Games as an amateur, and has held European and Commonwealth super-middleweight belts as a professional.

"This is the first time I've fought for a world title and I've trained very hard and I'm ready for the occasion," added Cox. "The fans can expect a great win."

"When I look at him, I see a scared man."

  15. The story so far: George Grovespublished at 21:34 British Summer Time 14 October 2017

George Groves failed in three attempts to win world titles - against Britain's Carl Froch twice - including one fight in front of 80,000 people at Wembley Stadium - then in a controversial split decision to Sweden's Badou Jack in September 2015.

But he finally secured one when he stopped Russian Fedor Chudinov in the sixth round of their fight in May in Sheffield.

"I've worked my whole life to become world champion and I'm not going to give it up for anything," said 29-year-old Groves at Friday's weigh-in.

"It's very important for me to win this tournament," said Groves. "I know what needs to be done and I'm feeling very good.

"I'm always in exciting fights and Jamie is an all-action fighter. We will see if he wants to run or have a fight. Either way I will win."

  16. Hellopublished at 21:31 British Summer Time 14 October 2017

Hello and welcome to BBC Sport's live text commentary on another big night of British boxing with our attentions focused on an all-British world title fight as George Groves aims to hold on to his WBA Super-Middleweight Championship when he fights Jamie Cox.

  17. Can Cox cause a huge shock?published at 21:25 British Summer Time 14 October 2017

George Groves experienced the pain of three failed world title attempts before he finally got his hands on the belt that he always dreamed of winning.

Now, his first defence sees him take on an unbeaten Brit in the form of Jamie Cox, who is aiming to cause a shock and steal Groves' belt off him.

Throw in the fact that this fight is also a quarter-final in the World Boxing Super Series, with a fight looming against Chris Eubank Jr for the winner then there is an awful lot on the line. Who will be successful?
