Round 2: Joe Joyce v Bermane Stiverne

If Stiverne has thought this one would be easy, he is massively wrong. Joyce with an absolute dominant second round.

The American is still there, but how much does he want this? An absolutely brutal three minutes of punishment for Stiverne. Credit the American's chin though, he stayed on his feet somehow.

Joyce continues to dominate the second round.

  6. Joyce on the attack in the secondpublished at 21:48 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2019

Joe Joyce is landing with lefts, landing with rights, Stiverne taking a lot of punishment.

Into the second. I'd be very surprised if this went the distance.

Round 1: Joe Joyce v Bermane Stiverne

Stiverne may be having success with the single shot, but Joyce looks in much better shape, much quicker.

Bermane Stiverne is 40 years old, Joe Joyce is seven years younger. This is probably the last throw of the dice for the American. Mess this one up and there will be no more chances.

  14. Postpublished at 21:41 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2019

It is a chance to get back to the top table for Bermane Stiverne, who has 25 wins from 29 contests. How much has he trained for this one? He is in the ring at a huge 19st 7lbs, the heaviest he has ever been for a fight.

  15. Postpublished at 21:40 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2019

All respect for Joe Joyce for the Terminator walk-in music. This is an opportunity to catapult himself into the top level of the heavyweight division in, remember, only his eighth professional fight.

  16. Postpublished at 21:37 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2019

Joe Joyce has jumped up the heavyweight ranks extremely quickly and he is in only his eighth fight as a professional since winning a silver medal at the 2016 Olympics.

It is a WBA eliminator and with Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury all signed with rival broadcasters the fights we are all hoping for between any two of those three may not be happening anytime soon.

Joyce, or Stiverne, could get themselves a shot at Joshua, the WBA (super) champion (Manuel Charr is the 'regular' WBA champion), in the next 12 months. You just never know in heavyweight boxing.

  17. Postpublished at 21:35 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2019

Next up is a heavyweight fight between Joe Joyce and American Bermane Stiverne, the former WBC world heavyweight champion and a man who has been in the ring twice with Deontay Wilder.

Stiverne went the distance with Wilder but lost on points in 2015, but has not been seen in the ring since being destroyed inside three minutes by Wilder in their rematch in November 2017.

James DeGale v Chris Eubank Jr

Punchy75: Degale can control this fight with his boxing skill and experience, both of which Eubank doesn't have. Chris is just going to fight like he always has done. He pushed Groves to the limit, but in reality skill beats heart and effort all day.

KJoe: Can't wait, Eubank will get well and truly schooled tonight. His lack of having ever learned the basics of boxing, having had top quality amateur experience and conned himself by fighting and beating domestic, mid level European standard fighters will come home to roost. He is an insult to all the boxers out there who hone their craft and earn their stripes. Three strikes, over and out.

Inmyopinion: Eubank is so frustrating - a wasted talent - this is the first fight that he has had a trainer for. Ridiculous. If De Gale isn't injured and even 80% of what he was he will win a landslide points decision. looking forward to Joyce vs Stiverne - nice step up for Joyce.

Selby beats Douglas with unanimous points decision

Lee Selby reacts to his unanimous points win on ITV Box Office: "That was one of the toughest. I'm bringing cuts on myself and it's something I have to work on in the gym. When he was rushing in he was dangerous with the head.

"I have two highly experienced cuts men in the corner but in the fight I kept undoing their work. I am a former world champion and I'm still learning.

"I believe I can win another world title. He was supposed to be a big puncher and I held his shots well. I have a lot to learn, have great trainer and I just want to fight anybody. If they said I was fighting Anthony Joshua tomorrow I wouldn't tell them no."
