The pair embrace as the bell rings. Terri Harper raises a fist, she may well have just become a world champion in only her 10th professional fight.

    We will find out soon.

Wahlstrom needs something special in this last round. It has not been her night though.

  5. Postpublished at 21:57 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2020

"Last round, have some fun," Terri Harper is told. She could well be only 120 seconds away from being a world champion.

  6. Postpublished at 21:56 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2020

Wahlstrom surely needs a very strong ninth, but Harper is doing well enough to keep out of distance.

Three rounds to go. And Harper connects late on in the eighth. That wobbles Wahlstrom, who now has some damage under her eye.

"You're going to be the world champion," Harper is told by her corner. Not yet, she's not. Four minutes to go.

  8. Wahlstrom back up, we continuepublished at 21:49 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2020

Eva Wahlstrom is now up against it. There was not much in that knockdown, but that will be a 10-8 round to Harper, so the Finn will have to come on the attack now.

  9. Wahlstrom knocked downpublished at 21:49 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2020

That could be a huge moment in this fight in the seventh. A short right hand from Terri Harper followed by a pushing left, briefly sends Wahlstrom to touchdown on the canvas. It's a flash knockdown and the Finn does not want it to be classed a knockdown, but it is.

    Advantage Harper.

    Into round seven.

  11. 'Easy to read'published at 21:47 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2020

    Wahlstrom v Harper

Before the fight, Wahlstram gave her thoughts on Terri Harper and said: "I see Harper as young and hungry challenger who is smart and technical but also somewhat inexperienced.

"She is also so schoolbook-correct in her style that she should be rather easy to read in the ring. I believe that I have an edge in ability to adapt and change tactics mid-fight.”

We're past the midway point so will she opt to change her tactics now.

Five gone and this one looks to be a very close one. We're eight minutes away from it going to the judges.

Five gone and this could well be all square after the opening four two-minute rounds.

Enzo Maccarinelli likes what he has seen from Terri Harper so far. This is only the 10th professional fight of her career and she has won the first nine, five of those victories coming inside the distance.

Into the third in the fight between Eva Wahlstrom and Terri Harper. A close opening couple of rounds and this one is scheduled for 10 two-minute rounds.

Harper, having some success with the jab, launches forward, trying to connect with an overhand right, but Wahlstrom just smiles at her. Still a long way to go in this one though.

    Dave Allen beats Dorian Darch

There was victory for another Yorkshire fighter earlier on as heavyweight Dave Allen fought for the first time since a gruelling points defeat to David Price at London’s O2 Arena, a fight in which Allen had to go to hospital afterwards.

But the 27-year-old, nicknamed ‘the White Rhino’, is back.

He emphatically knocked out Welsh boxer Dorian Darch, 35, in the third round to take his record to 18-5-2.

Eva Wahlstrom, 39, is one of the biggest stars in women's boxing and tonight she makes the sixth defence of her WBC female super-featherweight championship.

But she's beatable. From 26 fights she has lost just the one - to Ireland's Katie Taylor in a lightweight bout in December 2018 in Madison Square Garden, New York.

  20. Galahad to get a second shot at the world titlepublished at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2020

Kid Galahad beats Claudio Marrero (featherweight)

It's already been a decent night for the home fans as Sheffield boxer Kid Galahad dominated Dominican fighter Claudio Marrero from start to finish to give himself another chance at the IBF world featherweight title.

Marrero, a former WBA interim featherweight champion, was retired by his corner after round eight having taken a flurry of punches from 29-year-old Galahad.

Galahad’s only career defeat in 28 fights came against IBF world featherweight champion Josh Warrington in June last year with a tough split-decision points loss and this victory means he is now the mandatory challenger for Warrington’s IBF belt.
