It's pad-work for Joe Joyce while Daniel Dubois is simply strolling around his dressing room. He looks as calm as a swan on the Serpentine in June.

Jay Shereef: Dubois is great and likely a future champion. But his resumé seems a bit padded - to build both his confidence and his hype. He's no Mike Tyson-style phenom. And I think his time won't come for a good few years yet. Joyce should come out on top tonight.

Adrian Firth: Got to go Joyce by KO in six.

Meanwhile, rangy Brit Hamzah Sheeraz has just started his eighth round against Guido Nicolas Pitto - Sheeraz is looking to defend his WBO European super-welterweight title for a second time.

It's looking good for the 21-year-old so far.

    Dubois v Joyce next.

  6. 'Joyce will get chucked onto the scrapheap if he loses'published at 22:13 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2020

That contest will be in the wee hours if you're in the GMT timezone - back to the main fight at Westminster....

So how do we think Commonwealth champion Joe Joyce will do?

The 35-year-old, beaten on a split decision in the super heavyweight final at Rio 2016, didn't actually turn pro until 2017. During those early days he was taken under the wing by Hayemaker Ringstar - the now defunct partnership between Hayemaker Promotions and Ringstar Sport, co-led by former world cruiserweight and heavyweight champion David Haye.

Haye said that Joyce, unbeaten in his 11 fights, could not really afford to lose against Dubois because of his advancing years.

"I think there's more to fight for for Joyce because of his age," said the Briton.

"Joyce losing aged 35... he'll get chucked onto the scrapheap. The reason they'll say he got beat is, 'he's too old. his prime was at the Olympics'.

"I lost my first professional fight aged 24 and by the time I was 27 I was number one in the world in the cruiserweight division, holding the WBO, WBA, WBC titles and I was Ring Magazine champion. A loss for Dubois isn't as catastrophic as it would be for Joyce."

  19. Will this affect Joyce's hopes?published at 21:11 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2020

    Ismael SalasImage source, Getty Images

So Joyce suffered a bit of a setback this week after it was revealed lead trainer Ismael Salas tested positive for the coronavirus - hence he won't be in his corner.

Luckily for the boxer he had not come in physical contact with the trainer before he left his 'bubble'. Joyce had not seen him since October, anyway.

So happy days! Imagine the fight postponed for a fourth time?!

Trainer Steve Broughton will be in Joyce's corner.

Adam Morallee, Joyce's lawyer, said: "Did we think about bringing in another trainer? Yes. But we believe that Steve Broughton is a world-class trainer and we have the experience of Jimmy Tibbs, who has been in the corner for every Joe Joyce UK fight.

"Joe is absolutely fine, Steve has been his main trainer since May."
