    Breaking

Lawrence Okolie holds on to his WBO World Cruiserweight Championship with a third-round knockout victory.

It's a brutal left-hook body shot that does the damage. Prasovic is on the canvas, writhing in agony, holding his ribs.

He doesn't get up in time. Okolie remains the champion.

  3. Prasovic downpublished at 21:00 British Summer Time 25 September 2021

Prasovic, looking a bit out of his depth here, is down again.

    That could be it.

  4. End of round twopublished at 20:59 British Summer Time 25 September 2021

The bell comes at a very, very handy time for Dilan Prasovic to keep him in it. It was a beautiful overhand right that stunned Prasovic, and he fell down before another onslaught could come his way.

That's a 10-8 round for Okolie, but Prasovic survives.

  5. Prasovic downpublished at 20:56 British Summer Time 25 September 2021

With 40 seconds of round two left, Prasovic is sent to the canvas. He scrambles himself up. Okolie senses the victory here.

    Round 2

A first bit of success for Prasovic early in the second, catching Okolie with a swinging left, although the Briton was moving backwards so didn't feel its full force.

Lawrence Okolie was making his ring walk and this place just went up a level.

We're almost full inside the stadium now and Okolie's entrance was really getting the crowd going.

The stars are at ringside, just spotted Idris Elba and ring announcer Michael Buffer has also just appeared. You know things are getting serious when Buffer appears!

A very solid opening round for Okolie. He's won 13 of 16 fights inside the distance and from what he has seen in the opening three minutes will be hopeful of finishing the job early doors here.

A right overhand from downtown from Okolie, but it only has a grazing impact on the head of Prasovic, who luckily for him, had ducked underneath the shot. That would've caused some damage if it had connected sweetly.

    Round 1: Okolie v Prasovic

We're under way and reigning champion Lawrence Okolie is instantly the aggressor, working to the body, trying to swing a left hook to the head of Prasovic.

This is a huge step up for the Montenegro man. What's he got in the locker?

Ring announcer David Diamante screams out his "the fight...starts...now' catchphrase.

It had all sounded a bit rubbish when he did that with no-one in the stands, but now it gets 67,000 people pumped up.

We've had boxing behind closed doors, we've had boxing In Eddie Hearn's garden (and what a garden it is), but this is what boxing is all about.

An incredible atmosphere at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - and it's only going to get better.

  13. 'No-one beats me in my home town'published at 20:46 British Summer Time 25 September 2021

Lawrence Okolie became WBO world cruiserweight champion earlier this year and makes the first defence of his belt against unbeaten Montenegro fighter Dilan Prasovic.

This is what the Briton had to say: "It's amazing to see all these press here and I want to shout out to my dad, who is here.

"It's all fun after I've got the stoppage victory with 67,000 people cheering, I will be looking forward to it. If you look at my past few fights, I get stoppages and I've been working on a lot of things.

"He is fast, strong, but no-one is going to come here and beat me in front of 67,000 people in my home town."

  14. Okolie already thinking of his future as a heavyweightpublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 25 September 2021

Cruiserweight world champion Lawrence Okolie aims to emulate David Haye, Oleksandr Usyk and Evander Holyfield by having future success as a heavyweight.

The Briton makes the first defence of his WBO belt on the undercard of Anthony Joshua's world heavyweight title bout against Usyk.

But 28-year-old Londoner Okolie, who is 6ft 5in, expects to move up in weight categories later in his career. "I think it is destined, almost," Okolie told 5 Live's Boxing Podcast.

Okolie won his cruiserweight world title in March with a sixth-round knockout win over Poland's Krzysztof Glowacki at Wembley Arena and now fights unbeaten Montenegro fighter Dilan Prasovic, 26, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

"Obviously I have to win, but I've got people like Haye, Usyk and Holyfield in mind when I'm training," said Okolie.

"Size-wise, I'm taller than Usyk, and I don't enjoy the dieting but I have to do that to make the [cruiserweight] weight. But I look forward to putting on more size and strength."

We're at the home of Spurs, but with a North London derby against Arsenal to prepare for tomorrow, we are not expecting to see any Tottenham footballers tonight.

But there's still an England international there with Mason Mount of Chelsea there, probably not in the cheap seats.

Actor Idris Elba is another early celebrity spot. There will be more.

Leo: AJ should have the advantage in the first seven due to his height and reach, but Usyk can target AJ's waist/ribs easier due to his shorter height and if he avoids AJ's power early on can take the fight in the last two or three. It's an interesting match-up and I favour AJ, but Usyk has a chance.

Dudu9: People say Usyk has skills, but which dangerous fighter has he faced? Bellew was able to land power shots on him. Delboy roughed him up. AJ has a wicked uppercut. And he’s already faced very skilled boxers like Klitschko. Hope AJ ignores the Usyk hype and comes out all guns blazing for an early knockout.

Dan: Since Joshua lost he's not took centre ring, he's been very reserved in throwing shots, he stayed back tried to counter and caused his own problems. If he invites, Usyk onto him which I think he will, it'll be a long night for him. Usyk will put pressure on, not step off the gas, I can see a very tired AJ very quickly unless he lands a big shot.

  19. 'You don't want Usyk having any confidence'published at 20:39 British Summer Time 25 September 2021

We'll have predictions throughout the night from some big names. Here's the first one...

Former super-middleweight world champion George Groves: "If I was Joshua, I would take control of the ring and try to dominate and bully off the front foot. Usyk will want to be off the back foot for the first couple of rounds, then try to pepper Joshua.

"If I was in the Joshua camp, I would say: 'You want to keep this guy in his box. You don't want Usyk having any confidence, so hit him hard and early. In the first three rounds, you want to land something big on him.'"

The one that started it all off, back in April 2016. What a ride it's been since then

    1. Beat Charles Martin (USA) 9 April, 2016 – 2nd rnd KO - IBF – O2 Arena, London

In only his 16th professional fight, Anthony Joshua became the world heavyweight champion. And he did it some style too, knocking American Charles Martin down twice in the second round to secure the IBF title at a packed O2 Arena.

    2. Beat Dominic Breazeale (USA) 25 June, 2016 – seventh round TKO – IBF – O2 Arena, London

Joshua’s first defence of his IBF belt saw him taken seven rounds by American Dominic Breazeale, before Joshua knocked him down in the seventh and it was later stopped by the referee.

    3. Beat Eric Molina (USA) 10 December, 2016 – third round TKO – IBF – Manchester Arena

Joshua maintained his record of winning every fight inside the distance with a three-round demolition of American Eric Molina, who was knocked down in the third before it was called off.
