  1. 'I'm a history-maker'published at 22:37 British Summer Time 6 October 2021

Tyson Fury recently said he was the only man in the heavyweight group that was still undefeated, but had forgotten the new addition - Oleksandr Usyk, who defeated Anthony Joshua a couple of weeks ago.

"I forget Usyk has been a world champion for five minutes," said Fury. "I was talking about the group before, from years gone by, last 10 years, I am the last man standing - still here undefeated, a lone soldier.

"The first two-time heavyweight champion of the world who never lost a fight, history-maker."

  2. 'Nothing to lose, everything to gain'published at 22:33 British Summer Time 6 October 2021

Wilder: "When you know the truth, they say the truth will set you free, I have no pressure, there is nothing to lose, everything to gain. All the pressure is on him.

"Your legacy only dies when the man dies, when the desire and fire in your heart dies, when that dies so does your legacy, and I am well alive.

"We have got a lot of things in line, in order, this is what the world needs to know, there is a lot of things I could put out there, but silence is golden."

  3. 'Wilder is a weak person, who I'm going to knock out'published at 22:32 British Summer Time 6 October 2021

Tyson Fury is asked if he cares about those accusations from Deontay Wilder and says: "I don't care because it is obviously coming from an unwell person - he accused me of everything, his team, trainer, the suit [he wore on the way to the ring], injuries, the Athletic State Commission of Nevada, the ref - if he had come out with one excuse it might have been believable,

"What it tells me is he is a weak person who I am going to knock spark out on Saturday night. He is even copying me, he's got no T-shirt on today. I am famous for wearing no shirts in press conference - I know I am an inspiring person, but you are supposed to be the Bronze Bomber, do your own thing."

  4. Wilder stands by accusations of Furypublished at 22:28 British Summer Time 6 October 2021

Deontay Wilder accused Tyson Fury of tampering with his own gloves after the second fight, and does not change his tone when given the chance to here.

He says: "I don't regret it, I will go to my grave believing in what I believe in. One thing about it, men lie, women lie, but your eyes don't lie what you see - people can believe what they want, but the eyes don't lie and it only made me better as a man to see certain facts, it made me hungrier than before.

"I wouldn't take it back, I needed it, it was a blessing in disguise."

  5. 'It will go down in history'published at 22:26 British Summer Time 6 October 2021

Deontay Wilder: "We have been going from day one since the last outing, no stops, all the delays, it has been official for us. One thing about this camp is I have had all my brothers around me from the start.

"We are together now, I have been talking about the love around me, it has been amazing for me. Many people thought I was down, depressed, I can't be. It wouldn't be fair to the people around me.

"Overtraining is a real thing and we have been able to take breaks at certain times, some things lighter than others, we have timed everything out perfectly and done all the right things.

"On Saturday night it will be a different fight - it's not often we get trilogies like this and I think it will go down in history."

  6. 'I have had a few personal problems'published at 22:23 British Summer Time 6 October 2021

Tyson Fury: "I have been taking it day by day and enjoying my life, every day we wake up is a blessed day, remember that.

"All these fights are exactly the same to me - I have some guy trying to take my head off with punches, it is the Tyson Fury roadshow and has been continuing for 13 years. You train twice a day most days, I eat sleep train repeat. I have had a few personal problems, but there is always going to be some kind of hurdle.

"I have a little baby girl who was born seven and a half weeks ago and she was very unwell for a little bit, I spent two weeks in hospital with her. The baby is 100% at home, daddy just has to do his job now and that's it."

  7. 'Nothing to prove'published at 22:21 British Summer Time 6 October 2021

Deontay Wilder: "I don't have nothing to prove, I am in a great place, a great state of mind, have always been, have a lot of great people around me - this is a redemption, retaliation, retribution."

"Tyson has incredible ability around the board in every category so it's just improving them and he learns so fast."

Five days before a crucial fight in July, Anthony Fowler was "crying his eyes out". His son had just been born and Fowler spent three sleepless nights at the hospital with his partner.

It was far from ideal timing for the 30-year-old, who had to fight Rico Mueller in a light-middleweight bout a few days later.

Just 10 weeks on, Fowler is on the cusp of the biggest contest of his career against fellow Liverpudlian Liam Smith in their home city, while little Luca is still getting to know him.

"He barely recognises me. I'm always away training," says Fowler, who spends weekdays in London training under Shane McGuigan.

"I literally had three days in the hospital. Didn't sleep, stuck on a chair, I was knackered. There was such a high when he was born, crying my eyes out. It was such a special feeling."

Fowler suspects the emotional rollercoaster of Luca being born affected his performance against Mueller, although he still dominated to stop the German in the eighth round.

He expects an improved display against domestic rival Smith on Saturday, but insists fatherhood has had no effect on his motivation for fighting.

Fowler adds "This is my dream as a kid to be world champion, since I was 11. Nothing's changed there."

Fowler and Smith meet on Saturday in Liverpool, with commentary on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra from 22:00 BST.

Tyson Fury is the only man that Deontay Wilder has not knocked out.

Canada's Bermane Stiverne was the first to go the distance with Wilder in 2015, but was then destroyed inside a round in a rematch two years later.

Fury is undefeated and Wilder's solitary defeat came against the Englishman.

  18. Joshua tips Wilder to winpublished at 21:59 British Summer Time 6 October 2021

Two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, speaking before he lost his belts to Oleksandr Usyk, tipped Wilder for the win and said: "If I had to [decide], I don't know. I'm not too bothered.

"Because you've asked the question, let's go with Wilder because he seems obsessed, like he really wants it.

"Wilder seems really focused on the task ahead. A focused man is a dangerous man, and he's focused. Wilder might get the decision. Actually, no... it has to be a knockout. One of them will knock the other out."
