It is a difficult fight for both boxers. For Golovkin he seems to have the longer reach and the better jab and you would expect him to try and keep his distance but that is what Alvarez lives off, he lives off a sloppy jab, he lives off a fast right hand counter when the jab comes out. It is difficult to keep Alvarez at distance.

Gennady Golovkin fight is 'personal' - Alvarez

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez is wary of the threat posed by "intelligent" Gennady Golovkin but plans to win their trilogy bout inside 12 rounds.

"I'll be looking to get the stoppage," said Alvarez. "This is as edgy as I've been before a fight for a while.

"I work better under pressure. The pressure I put on myself is to finish this inside the distance. I have a tough rival in front of me but that will be my aim."

It is almost four years to the day since Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin last fought.

That thrilling encounter was a second bout between the two after their 2017 fight had ended in a controversial draw.

The 2018 honours went Alvarez's way and, after a long wait, the two meet again in the concluding trilogy fight in Las Vegas tonight.
