The bigger picture is how flat AJ is. Franklin is not showing ambition; there is nothing behind his jabs.

AJ is not happy with how successful Franklin has been at tying him up.

    Round 8

The first minute of the eighth was pretty frantic but the rest of it was a scrappy affair, with a lot of holding. Maybe a sign of the energy reserves of both men draining fast.

But Franklin does have enough about him and enough in the legs to get out of the way of a straight seeking missile from Joshua.

    Round 8

Brilliant work from Joshua in the opening minute of the eighth, but Franklin, having taken a few shots, is still there and still believing and still throwing.

Joshua only works when he's under pressure. He is happy to see rounds out. There's nothing aggressive from him; if he's going to take the best in the world on we need to see it now.

    Round 7

Some words exchanged by both men in the middle of the ring at the end of seventh. Joshua had landed a right, with Franklin taunting him saying that didn't hurt, which normally means the opposite.

    Round 7

Joshua is starting to look for the route to the finish. Another couple of jabs land, trying to create the opportunity for the overhand right.

Joshua's going to be well ahead on the cards but the early destruction of Franklin that many predicted has not happened, and it's still very much a live fight.

AJ was busier in that round, but Franklin is still very much in this fight.

    Round 6

A huge uppercut from Joshua, we've seen that sort of shot help him to some of his best career wins such as against Wladimir Klitschko, but it doesn't make a completely clean contact this time and Franklin responds with a burst of punches himself.

Every time he's taken one, he's instantly sprung into action and shown a brilliant fighting spirit. But if Joshua can find that punch again and this time land it cleanly it could be goodnight.

The writing looks like it is on the wall, but I still need to see more from Anthony Joshua.

Suddenly, Franklin looked wary. It is an odd performance from AJ; he is in control, but we want more.

    Round 5

A brilliant right hand, chopping down, lands cleanly from Joshua and it's one of the best punches of the night. But Franklin, once more, shows great heart as he gets a couple of punches landed himself seconds after.

Joshua is probably doing enough to win the rounds, but Franklin is looking tough, resilient and an ever-increasing threat.

    Round 4

At the end of the fourth, Joshua lands with a big uppercut and misses with a massive swinging left, drawing oohs from the O2 crowd.

But Franklin shows great character, instantly pushing Joshua back to the ropes and tries a couple of hooks, but Joshua swerves both of them.
