Not for the first time at a UK boxing show this year, we have plenty of empty seats, even with the top tier shut off. The lack of fans is made all the more noticeable by this being the largest indoor arena in the country.

Remember, this card was originally going to be headlined by the Liam Smith and Chris Eubank Jr rematch. It appears the majority of fans who bought a ticket opted for the full refund.

And now it's time for Natasha Jonas.

If I'm honest I'm not sure of what song Wyatt came out to but it's the very recognisable Beyonce that rings out around the arena for the Liverpudlian's ring walk.

Kandi Wyatt is the first to make the walk and she's pretty much sprinted into the ring.

Natasha Jonas is one of the most well-liked British boxers who has achieved so much in the sport. Tonight she chases a fourth world title in as many fights - and everyone expects her to win.

Kandi Wyatt has fought once in 19 months and lost three of her last four fights – Jonas the huge favourite. As long as complacency doesn’t set in, Jonas should end the night as a two-weight world champion.

Kandi Wyatt made a great start to her professional career, winning eight in a row but she's struggled to maintain that momentum at world level.

The Canadian fell to her first defeat against Christina Linardatou for the vacant WBO light-welterweight title in March 2019.

Wyatt responded with back-to-back wins but has lost her last three fights, including against Kali Reis for the WBA light-welterweight title and against Jessica McCaskill for the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO and IBO welterweight titles.

Interestingly, Wyatt took the fight against McCaskill on less than a week's notice and was battered from pillar to post until the referee finally stepped in to stop the contest in the seventh round.

On the back of three successive losses, tonight's opportunity to win the vacant IBF welterweight title is a golden ticket for the 32-year-old.

It looked like Natasha Jonas' hopes of becoming a world champion could have been over after a unanimous decision loss against undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor in May 2021.

Jonas had also come up short nine months earlier when she drew with WBC and IBO super-featherweight champion Terri Harper.

But the Liverpudlian has come back fighting.

The 39-year-old has won has last four bouts, including three in a row in 2022, and she boasts the title of unified light-middleweight champion.

She is attempting to become a two-weight world champion when she drops down a division to face Kandi Wyatt for the vacant IBF welterweight title tonight.

The former Team GB Olympian has undoubtedly proved her worth at world level and wants to face either Chantelle Cameron or Katie Taylor if she does the business against Wyatt.

Mark Jeffers, who took the bout on just a couple of weeks notice, has just sealed shock points victory over Zak Chelli.

Next up we've got the first world title fight of the night as Natasha Jonas takes on Kandi Wyatt for the vacant IBF welterweight title.

Welcome to Manchester’s AO Arena on a huge night for British boxing!

The term ‘must-win’ is overly used in boxing, but it’s hard to see where Savannah Marshall goes next if she is defeated by Franchon Crews-Dezurn tonight.

If she wins, however, she becomes a two-weight world champion and an undisputed super-middleweight champion. It really is all or nothing.

And then we have the much heralded Natasha Jonas - the first woman to box for Team GB at an Olympics and a unified light-middleweight champion. Jonas moves down in weight in a bid to add the IBF welterweight belt to her list of accolades.

It’s going to be a cracker.

We've got a fantastic night of boxing on the cards in Manchester as Savannah Marshall attempts to become a two-weight world champion and the undisputed super-middleweight champion.

Marshall, who saw her unbeaten record ended by Claressa Shields last time out, is up against American Franchon Crews-Dezurn.

Natasha Jones is also back in action as she looks to build on a stellar 2022 when she won three fights to become the unified light-middleweight champion.

Jonas is dropping down a division to face Canada's Kandi Wyatt for the vacant IBF welterweight title.
